Glimpsetv:
A Nigerian lady who recently returned from the United States has shared five things she no longer needs to do herself since relocating to Lagos, Nigeria.

According to her, the first major change is that she no longer has to drive, as she now has a personal driver.

Secondly, she doesn’t cook anymore, thanks to the availability of organic food vendors and skilled cooks. She either orders food or hires someone to cook for her whenever she wants.

Thirdly, she revealed that she now has a personal assistant, so she no longer has to run errands on her own. Fourth, she no longer needs to clean, as she has hired a cleaner who comes in daily to handle all the cleaning.

Lastly, she said she doesn’t have to take down her braids or do her own hair anymore, as there are always people available to help her with haircare.

The viral video has sparked mixed reactions on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter). While some admire her lifestyle, others believe only the wealthy can enjoy such luxuries in Nigeria.

While some may describe me and Wifey as wealthy. Reality is , we don't see having domestic business admin/support staff as a luxury but a necessity. It helps us focus on what we should be expending energy on.

Support staff like, cook, cleaner, nanny and gardener and admin manager are some of the non negotiable staff

Vocational folks will always have be affordable on my payroll, as they afford me more time ,
energy and effort to focus on less mundane and more important stuff

P.S. My Wife maked her own hair sometimes. Not because She is cheap, but because
She can

.i actually like the last one She made, better than others made by hairdressers.

She's simply a lazy person
She said she suffered from "burn out" this is perhaps from working too hard.
Life is short, everyone deserves a break. If you can afford it, why not?

Let’s not lie, it’s the dream of most Nigerians in the western world to have enough money to go back to Nigeria and buy all the luxury to live like a king … then travel once a while to visit other countries

The recent insecurity is the major scare…. I tell you, bad roads, and poor electricity does not scare us moving back home… with money, I can build my house to taste and provide myself constant water, electricity… but major problem now is security and many think they haven’t made enough money yet to retire at home..

Interview all the Nigerians in western world and tell them you will give them 10 million dollars to go back home and retire plus security… 99% will return

At least 50% will go back for 500k dollars

There are many advantages with living in Nigeria.
I'm just at peace when I'm home.
I feel complete, peaceful and wholesome. Nothing like being back home for me.
It's cheap when you take dollar or pound. Change it to naira and spend it in naira.

You nailed it, insecurity

Look at the contrast between the lady and those women clustered around her to remove her weave...one of them probably has a boyfriend who can remove her to the forest in exchange for a hefty ransom payment, but she thinks she's in paradise

A society with majority of its citizens struggling in an ocean of poverty whilst the top five percent luxuriate in stupendous wealth will never be ideal or safe, neither will it ever make progress.

The northerners are currently experiencing the consequences of such a society

She might be working remotely here in the United States before she left for Nigeria. She can continue with the job from anywhere in this world. She just has to make sure she is having a solid internet connection. If not, she will mess herself us.

But that means all these Nigerians don't care about a better society
They just want to be on the "winning" side

When you have that money it's clear you dont have plans on how to spend it wisely that's why you squandered it on the other hand she might have plans so dont compare your bad situation to everyone else

You have to be super wealthy to get all these done for you in the West...like live at home nanny which will cost nothing less than $2000/month ...not including a driver lol
Earnings of $5k monthly can give her that lifestyle comfortably in Nigeria.

Good for her. Some people are busy chasing money in US until they are in late 60s or 70s without really enjoying life---make a lot of money on paper and the government finds way to take most of it back.

She seems to be comfortable and contented with less.

she may also learn that when you employ multiple unvetted strangers; and bring these same strangers into your house ; and let them know you are a been to have dollars they will send robbers and scammers after you.

She either has a remote job paying her in dollars or she has a job or business fetching her a high income. That's how the maths adds up.
