she may also learn that when you employ multiple unvetted strangers; and bring these same strangers into your house ; and let them know you are a been to have dollars they will send robbers and scammers after you.
How do you know they are UNVETTED strangers?
Anyway everything has disadvantages. We will soon read she's tired of Nigeria. Then once back in US she'd start missing Nigeria again grin

Thanks to working and earning abroad, she can now Iive far more comfortably than average Nigerians while back in Nigeria.

I hate it when people beat around the simple truth...! tongue

The honest truth
But how many people do this? Most get stuck abroad one way or another. So that "go and make money and come back and enjoy it" is a pipe dream

no be naija?

it is in the abroad you can actually vet people. over here what you see is what you get. i am sure you have read different horror stories of trusted servants setting their ogas up for kidnap.

and people direct from abroad are simply too trusting. what they see as kindness and treating help humanely is seen by the help as mumuness and weakness

It's cheap when you take dollar or pound. Change it to naira and spend it in naira.
Funny how no one is talking about RACISM!
We don't know what we're enjoying in Nigeria not having any "superior" majority race around

There are many advantages with living in Nigeria.
I'm just at peace when I'm home.
I feel complete, peaceful and wholesome. Nothing like being back home for me.
Seconded!

You people are talking as if US is the safest place on earth and Naija the unsafest - despite what we read on news everyday

Another one: she doesn't have to deal with women whose natural hair she's wearing as fake! grin
Also no "superior" majority race!

She's simply a lazy person
I don't think she is lazy, she can get these services with a fraction of what she spends on bills in the US.
Re: Lady Shares 5 Things She No Longer Does After Moving From The US To Nigeria(pix) by MasterTeeUSA: 12:58am On May 15, 2025
You can get that in Nigeria for monthly income of $1000 lol...How much do you want to pay driver? N100k - N150K, live in house help in Nigeria N75k and hair done N25k...N200k...if N1.5 million is not enough, the person needs help.

TemporaryHansel:
Earnings of $5k monthly can give her that lifestyle comfortably in Nigeria.

She's not lazy. She uses her brain to work, earn money and pay the bills.
This is me. I rather make money than use my time for chores. Chores don't pay, work pays.

While some may describe me and Wifey as wealthy. Reality is , we don't see having domestic business admin/support staff as a luxury but a necessity. It helps us focus on what we should be expending energy on.

Support staff like, cook, cleaner, nanny and gardener and admin manager are some of the non negotiable staff

Vocational folks will always have be affordable on my payroll, as they afford me more time ,
energy and effort to focus on less mundane and more important stuff

P.S. My Wife maked her own hair sometimes. Not because She is cheap, but because
She can

.i actually like the last one She made, better than others made by hairdressers.
Can you employ me pls, i really need a job.

Old cargo just landed in Nigeria wharf after spending so many years in the US ports where she emptied her container loads.
This ship is now looking for containers of fresh goods, but it seems that may may be a herculean task to achieve.

I wanted you to put it out - you never know who will see it. Nairaland is very big.
I'll pass it on to my staff. I personally don't hire and don't interfere (chain of command) - so if anything goes wrong they'd be no stories

She should enjoy it while it last. If Nigeria is really working like the US she came from where everyone has a job that pays, where everyone minds their business, do their chores by themselves 24hours a day, even the helps are registered workers on a certain pay grade/hour , she would understand that those things she mentioned were supposed to be regulated to benefit people and not meant to be the usual or whatever she might think of. At the same time she should be weary of her safety not to be taken advantage of, the country isn't smiling.

Glimpsetv:
A Nigerian lady who recently returned from the United States has shared five things she no longer needs to do herself since relocating to Lagos, Nigeria.

According to her, the first major change is that she no longer has to drive, as she now has a personal driver.

Secondly, she doesn’t cook anymore, thanks to the availability of organic food vendors and skilled cooks. She either orders food or hires someone to cook for her whenever she wants.

Thirdly, she revealed that she now has a personal assistant, so she no longer has to run errands on her own. Fourth, she no longer needs to clean, as she has hired a cleaner who comes in daily to handle all the cleaning.

Lastly, she said she doesn’t have to take down her braids or do her own hair anymore, as there are always people available to help her with haircare.

The viral video has sparked mixed reactions on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter). While some admire her lifestyle, others believe only the wealthy can enjoy such luxuries in Nigeria.

Real spill My guy. Sad that kindness and empathy is viewed as weakness and fragility in today’s Nigeria. As long as you street savvy you can always find your way in Nigeria . God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬
