The Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, sharing images of the Kano-Jigawa-Katsina-Maradi railway being built by Federal Government.

Onanuga, through his verified X handle on Tuesday, shared fresh photos highlighting the progress of the major railway development, which is currently under construction.

In his update, he also noted that the government is not only focusing on the rail line itself but is also constructing complementary infrastructure such as overhead bridges and access roads.

He revealed that the contractors are targeting a completion date of December 2026.

His post reads in part:

“Work continues on the Kano-Jigawa-Katsina-Maradi railway. Access roads and overhead bridges are included. Contractors aim to finish by December 2026.”

The money invested in this project is 7 times more than what China uses in making China what it is today.

Kano also host the most advanced prison in Africa with the new 3,000 capacity Kano prison. And States are now following with their own Correction services and facilities (Edo and FG and new 3,000 Ilesa prison among others). Forward ever Naija!

There was no wide scale sacking of military barracks , killing of soldiers , looting of military equipment in the north , more than 5 military barracks has been sacked in 1 week in the North , of what use are the roads when there is no safety and no one to use them
