They remembered to update the Kaduna server but forgot to update the Lagos server?
Ok. Maybe I didn't read that well...

While these improvements were technologically sound in theory, a major operational flaw was uncovered during the implementation phase. The system patch necessary to support both shuffling and source-based validation had been fully deployed on the server cluster supporting the KAD (Kaduna) zone, but it was . not applied to the LAG (Lagos) cluster, which services centres in Lagos and the South-East

JAMB registrar Prof Ishaq should honourably resign for this abysmal failure to conduct mere UTME in the interest of the country or face sack. The integrity of JAMB is a stake with Prof Ishaq and his incompetent Board if allowed one more year.
The CEO of Educare Engr Alex Onyia should as a matter of urgency be brought to JAMB HQ to revamp the already comprised system by Ishaq and his kinsmen. If you go to JAMB HQ Yoruba is more or less a lingua franca in that organisation. JAMB has been Yorubanised and emilokaned!
JAMB has been Yorubanized you say?
And a Yorubanized JAMB remembered to update Kaduna server but forgot to update Lagos server?
I'd say the reasons they gave are just face saving. The real reason is most likely a high level administrative manipulation aimed at regional sabotage.
Yes, I said that!!

The most critical issues software engineers/developers faces. Full Software Testing after every changes/upgrade. Meanwhile, it is the boss that will receive all backlashes just as Prof. Oloyede is receiving it.

It's only in Nairaland that people who never got closer to taking JAMB will gather to make irrelevant comments about JAMB.

It's a cause to be a Ronuist and Agbadorian!

Only South East and Lagos affected but not a coincidence.

This was not a glitch, it was intentional to discredit SE. But for the research and persistent calling out of Jamb by Alex Onyia and co, this would have been swept under the carpet.
Each time SE tops the chart, you'll see people from certain region say it's miracle center, now they've gone to the server to alter the results of hardworking children, trying to make to make it look like they were performing well in the past because of exam malpractice but aren't able to replicate same with CBT.
One thing is certain, who God has blessed NO man can curse.
Jamb registrar can continue shedding crocodile tears, We know.
Na this kind mentality una want take run Biafra? Even if you are given your Biafra this kind of sentimental and unobjective mentality will collapse the region.
If you read well, it was written there boldly that it affected "Lagos" and "South-East", but you guys must always make the South East look like a target all the time. This kind of mentality won't make you guys achieve anything concrete as a people. Always quick to act or claim "marginalised" without settling down or thinking through.

The highest score of 376 was said to be from the SE region!

Is this a fake result or the real result?
1. What session did he/she write?
2. What zone did he/she write?

The error was corrected only after the 17th session, which means a few of the results were correct.

Stop saying nonsense. The IT department in Jamb is headed by an Ibo man.
1. I just looked through JAMB Management Team and this person or role as displayed on your image is not included: https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Management

2. The closest designation to this is Ag. Director, Information Technology Services Department and that is Mrs. F.F. B-USMAN.

3. I went a step further to search the image and it currently exists only on X.

4. The people who shared this image on X are well-known individuals with bigoted views who propagate hate speech against people from South East extraction.

5. Choose your crowd wisely, dear Nairaland user. It is the future of children at stake here. Not everything is a picnic ground.

That's so sad...
I still find it a bit difficult to believe that an engineer/developer will "forget" something as critical as installing the update when the success of the exam depended on it.
Do engineers/developers not have a checklist?
Do engineers/developers not do a test run?
I hope they'll tell us how much money they're gonna spend conducting the retest?
Who's gonna foot the bill?

Why didn't the omission in Lagos not affect South - West states, but somehow only affected South Eastern states.
These people that you are trying your best to bury all have seeds of greatness. That's there own spiritual inheritance whether you like it or not.

Our educational system faces numerous challenges, but when the integrity of the examination body comes into question, it signals a far more serious issue. How can we determine whether past failures were due to systemic shortcomings or technical errors? And who will take responsibility for reviewing the exams from those years?
I love your take. We are mad in this country. Jamb should have external auditors check it's systems periodically . Hbow many years have this gone unnoticed? How many years have parents prayed and kept paying for jamb . How many years have the self esteem of students battered irreparable? A deep investigation needs to be made and Jamb should be sued. they should pay for the damages .

Besides they eventually found out while conducting the exams , corrected it and DID NOT cancel the bad exams yet went ahead to release the bad results ! Im a snap country the registrar will resign !

This is a good one. Errors in test administration can happen anywhere. The responsible thing to do is investigate the error, correct it, and mitigate its consequences.
Well done, JAMB and Educate, for this detailed investigation and analysis.
Best wishes to the youngsters rewriting and their families.

It's all good.

Just my musings to the FG.

1. Increase JAMB Frequency
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination should be conducted 2 to 3 times a year. This gives students multiple opportunities to succeed, reduces the pressure of a one-time exam, and aligns with global best practices.

2. Extend JAMB Result Validity
A JAMB result should be valid for at least 2 to 3 years. This will reduce the financial burden on families and give students more time to prepare for university admission processes.

3. Discourage Post-UTME Exams
Post-UTME exams should be phased out. Instead, JAMB should be strengthened to serve as a centralized, standardized, and credible assessment. Strict penalties should be enforced to curb exam malpractice.

4. Remove Limits on Institutional Applications
Students should be able to apply to as many institutions as they choose, just like in many developed countries. This allows for better matching between students and universities, increasing admission chances and reducing bottlenecks.

5. Revise University Grading System
The grading scale should be reviewed. For example, a score of 60% (not the common 70%) and above could be considered an “A”, encouraging realistic and fair academic expectations while promoting critical thinking over rote learning.

6. Link Lecturer Evaluation to Student Performance
Lecturers should be evaluated and promoted based on measurable student outcomes, teaching effectiveness, innovation, and feedback—not just academic publications. This will encourage better teaching and student support.

7. Integrate AI Across All Courses
Universities should incorporate Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies into all fields of study—medicine, agriculture, education, law, etc.—to better prepare students for the future workforce.

8. Record and Upload All Classes
All lectures should be recorded in video format and made available to students immediately after each class. This improves learning flexibility and helps students review complex topics at their own pace.

9. Government Grants for IT and Skill Development
The government should provide targeted grants and sponsorships to support IT skill acquisition for out-of-school youths and adult workers. This will boost national productivity and reduce unemployment.

10. Upgrade Curriculum for Relevance
Tertiary institutions should update their curriculum regularly to reflect current industry demands and global trends. Courses should prioritize hands-on experience, internships, and soft skills development.

11. Strengthen Student Support Services
Counseling, career guidance, mentorship, and mental health services should be made readily available in all institutions to support holistic student development.

12. Continuous and effective workers skill upgrade measures through online course and offline mediums.
I don't support your 3 and 5 though.

The person that scored 311 last year, is the person waiting to get 500 before seeking for admission. If you manage see 300 it's better to pursue admission at all cost.
the problem with this set of student is that they pursue competitive courses like medicine and law in highly competitive university like Unilag UI OAU and UNN where 300 plus is like the benchmark, they end up getting shortchanged by post utme and 'man know man policies'.
That was the mistake i made in my first jamb 2015 unizik.

And this has been ongoing for years

Let this Educare and Engine give proper monitoring to the fake Nigerians that render careless service in the system henceforth
