This club is really trying. They need to be well-funded. NFF won't come and pick players from among them now. They'd be running after those playing in Europe who can buy a jersey for 5k usd each. Awon ole.

Wow! Nice. Cos I've always been hearing of the club for good reasons. I learnt the owner also have a football academy at remo. This is what we've been talking about. All we need are resources and the enabling environment.

There was a time I watched a documentary on al alhy of Egypt and esperance of Tunisia. Those countries don't behave like africa jare. Why won't they always lead ?

the guy tried he also build a stadium for them, painful nigeria billionaires are not ready to invest in sport they rather invest abroad i remember when dangote was keen on buying arsenal and he cant even sponsor one club in nigeria even if is shirt sponsorship. imagine almost all clubs in Nigeria are privately own all this yeye govt club will be gone, adenuga sponsored he league for a while and stopped, ifeanyi mbah politicalized his club they where doing well but they decline since his death nothing much from the club. imagine the volume of employment a properly professionally run club will generate. but with time we shall get there

It's not a matter of low self esteem. There's no connection between the league and ordinary Nigerians. Some of the passersby don't even knw wat/who Remo stars is. The league management needs to up their game to get Nigerians interested and invested in our local league.

Another mischievous person sitting beside be here says the people of Abeokuta have all left the capital for greener pasture in Anambra if this victory parade were to happen in Awka, road no go pass today.

The parade was held in Ijebu Ode not Abeokuta, the turn up might have been higher if that used Abeokuta but Remoland does not reckon with Abeokuta

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC). Also doubles as the name of their basketball team (I don't know if it still exists). It's a cool name, I like it.

Honestly , It would have been massive. I remember last season when 3SC could have qualified for the champions league. The whole stadium was filled to the brim on the last game, I was even suprised when I got to the stadium , omo see crowd. 3SC has history and fans across all ages . You can't compare them to Remo stars (No offence to Remo stars)

i followed the league actively because my friend played all his professional football in nigeria, he made a living out of it at least he could afford a car and he built a house for himself, we need to get things right in this country very important

There are quite a good amount of funny names as regards football clubs all over the world oh, Always Ready and The Strongest in Bolivia, Sheriff that played in Champions League some years back, Hearts of Oak in Ghana, Go Ahead Eagles in Netherlands, Young Boys and Grasshoppers from Switzerland, Kashima Antlers from Japan, what about Boca Juniors from Argentina? There are many maybe it's because the names are our local names so some people might not fancy it since they rate foreign names higher.

What does Sheffield Wednesday even mean? Or Queens Park Rangers(Maybe they work in the Queen of England's Park or something lol)? Or Reading FC (Like a reading club)? First time I heard Bolton Wanderers thought they were wandering all over Bolton and not playing football.
