Controversial Delta State College of Nursing student, Osato Edobor, who recently stirred nationwide attention over a viral TikTok song referencing First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reportedly failed her final year examinations, raising fresh concerns about possible academic retaliation or personal stress fallout.

Edobor’s academic status became public shortly after internal results from the Delta State College of Nursing, Agbor, were released this week. The student nurse, who had been issued a query in March 2025 for her involvement in the social media trend that used the now-viral audio clip “Na Your Mama Be This?”, was allegedly placed under disciplinary scrutiny following backlash from political quarters.

According to internal sources within the college, Osato’s results showed significant shortcomings across multiple clinical and theoretical courses, failing to meet the minimum passing requirement in key assessments.

Although school authorities have not publicly linked her performance to her viral controversy, critics and student bodies are questioning whether institutional bias played a role.

The nursing student had earlier accused the college of intimidation after receiving a disciplinary memo that cited her “disrespect” to the office of the First Lady.

The audio remix had featured satirical tones directed at Remi Tinubu, sparking online debate around freedom of expression, youth creativity, and political sensitivity in Nigeria.

Public reaction to her examination failure has been polarizing. While some argue that students must maintain academic focus regardless of external controversies, others say the institution failed to create a supportive environment for Osato during the turbulence that followed the song’s popularity.

Student unions and human rights advocates are now calling for an independent review into Osato’s examination process, urging the Delta State Ministry of Health and the Nursing Council of Nigeria to ensure transparency, fairness, and academic protection for all learners, regardless of their online activity.

Edobor has yet to issue an official statement, but her supporters online are rallying with the hashtag #StandWithOsato, demanding a fair re-evaluation and accusing the college of using “soft repression” to punish youth expression.

If you're dull, you're dull and if you're good, you're good. Check the type of students behind notorious activities, they're most likely dull students. This girl is not only super dull but also ill- mannered and lacks home training. Rather than pay more attention on how she could improve her life, she was more dedicated to chasing clout on social media. Personally, I don't have pity on dull and ill-trained kids. By the time she rewrites the final papers atleast two more times, she will learn to focus more on the important aspect of her life.
Even our billionaire neighbors were happily singing " na our papa be this " when Mr President visited Anambra, how much more a bunch of little girls still relying on their parents pocket money or being fed by some sugar daddies. These are people changing names from Obidients to Rat-tels or whatever they call themselves. They are so dull and have nothing upstairs, the only thing they contribute to the society is nuisance value.
