A gruesome discovery was made in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, as a dead body was found hanging from a mango tree in a bush on Friday.

This incident comes barely two weeks after a similar discovery of a pregnant woman’s body in a forest in Ideani, Idemili South Local Government Area.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident, stating that an unidentified person reported the discovery through the deceased’s phone.

Ikenga who notified the public through a press release said: “The body has been identified and deposited in a morgue, with efforts ongoing to contact the family.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has directed officers to intensify surveillance and intelligence gathering to prevent crime and uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“The police command is working to unravel the details of the unfortunate event and bring perpetrators to justice,” he said.

For it to have happened twice, most likely a case of homicide which police should carry out a forensic investigation to unravel the mystery and also run autopsy and carefully examine the potential crime scene, find out the last dialled numbers on the deceased phone and most importantly reveal the identity of the unidentified caller that called with the deceased phone.

If you live or have lived in Anambra state in recent times, you won't be surprised about news like this. Seeing what they do in broad day, you begin to dislike their so-called millionaires & billionaires. Grace na juju with petty sacrifices littered everywhere
