I don't think the bodyguard should resist them being government officials (Police) because is something you can explain to the organizer as far they can be identified, simple.

If there is a major problem there the bodyguard can't do much, you still need the help of police.

Will those officers allow someone else obstruct them from doing their job? No? Then let the bodyguard do his job and don't obstruct him.
Hahaha. Who is the bodyguard and who gave him the job? grin grin

All of the go sleep for cell.

Arrest him for whathuh Are you drunk?? Did he commit a crime?? Omoo some of you Nigerians are disgusting
Don't you know we have animals in human skin in this country .
So desensitized. Military rule has really degraded their common sense.
A private bodyguard is carrying out his duty by restricting uninvited guests with access. Is that a crime? So an uninvited guest with police escort(typical Naija attitude) wants to gatecrash and cos he has police with him..he should be allowed unfettered entry?

Many Nigerians don't know the law!!
Nobody has the right to stop Police or any enforcement officers eg Soldiers, Customs, Immigration, NIMASA officers entrance into their premises .

The bodyguard should have at least respected the uniform and calm down. His authority does not supercede that of the police, just asking for their ID is not too much. What will be the bodyguard reactions if were soldiers involved? Sometimes, brain we should allow brain to take precedent over effort.
Wait o, do you live in Nigeria at all? undecided

And you think those unprofessional men in black would show someone their ID cards? grin grin grin grin

Becos your enforcement officials behave like terrorists doesn't make it right.

You're right o but that security personnel get luck because people they record them live with their camera phones if not, them for done change am for the guy.

DeltaBachelor:
Chai. I believe the security personnel is right. Anybody can wear a police uniform. No matter who or what you are, if you aren’t invited to an occasion, there is no reason for you to gate crash.

One cold bottle 🍾 of beer 🍺 for you jor! This is the only sensible comment I've seen here so far!

The bodyguard has the authority of the organizers of the event while the police have the Nigerian constitutional authority by virtue of that uniform!

We should remember that both the organizers and the bodyguard can be summoned by the police but the police can not be summoned by the organizers!

Let's apply some sense in everything we do.

Summary:

A heated moment unfolded at the Egunegun Festival in Ibadan, as a bodyguard and police officers clashed over access to a restricted area. Was the bodyguard simply doing his job, or did he go too far by defying the police? Watch this viral encounter and drop your thoughts in the comments below.
Something that can be easily resolved without all this brouhaha...just ask the organizers if whoever the police escorts are bringing in are permitted into the restricted area, why resort to such show of shame at an event?

[quote author=Glimpsetv post=135405008]A mild confrontation occurred between a bodyguard and some Nigerian police officers during the Egungun Festival in Ibadan, Oyo State, sparking debate over who was in the wrong.

In the short viral video, the bodyguard appeared to deny access to certain individuals trying to enter the event area. However, some police officers were seen attempting to escort those individuals in. The bodyguard firmly stood his ground, which some observers interpreted as the police trying to smuggle people into a restricted area. While some people praised the bodyguard for doing his job and maintaining security, others argued he should have complied since the police were involved.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from either party. Watch the video and share your thoughts in the comments.

What a moment!!!! This action is signalling revolution in the nearest future.
