I find it hard to believe that this graduate does not know that she can be helpful to this establishment given what she studied in the tertiary institution!!!!!!

May God give her wisdom to make herself useful in this bakery and create a niche.

Shameful that everyone is saying she should use the opportunity to learn a skill as if she can add that experience on her CV as a Mass Communication graduate.

As a new corper who just got posted who may be reading this, do all you can to serve in an organisation where what they're doing or what you'll be doing is closely related to your course of study. That experience is very important for your first job especially if you didn't graduate with a first class or 2:1. Also, some overseas postgraduate programs won't offer you admission without relevant job experience.

My friend the NYSC I know can do more than that.
I had a friend that was posted to a fufu production factory as his PPA during my service year.

She studied mass communication, if she was posted to an Oil company, Bank, or one big multinational company she won't complain.



When serving, you must not necessarily be posted to where you have to practice what you studied alone

You get the same pay like all corpers, and participate in the experience.


My whole thing with the corper program, is the security aspect, and the way it has been run for decades, with corruption and more.


If all were right, In igbo nation, the national servants will do a similar corper program called anything, but let me call it, Work ideas. or Work shadow.

But instead of university, do it for those that have graduated secondary school. those that are posted to industries, construction, teacher, police station, etc. for 7 or 10 weeks program, one or two weeks in this area to shadow - say a teacher - basically administrative work, one week in another posted area, in a posted area or region.

Spread luxurious buses around to help the logistics of the program as much as possible. Some people will have to work in bakery, as a shadow employee, with mask, with good hygiene.
