They are very important.
There are several meets now aside the Olympics, that allows athletes to shine.
They are as important... No dey use old eye look athletics abeg.

The importance of World championships, Diamond Leagues meets, the new Grand Slam Track, Commonwealth Games, and even WAC continental Tours cannot be ignored.

Study Akanni Simbine who is one of the world best currently, and has won bronze as only global individual title in his entire carrier, just in the 2025 World indoor championship.
