And what is the transparency and integrity issue you found in the news? Before the development of the model, it is stated that Nigeria accounted for 29% of world mortality rate.

However after the development, they were able to achieve a whopping 99% childbirth success rate. This may in Lagos alone though but it noteworthy because it is thousands in number.

The figures are there to see and it's not a crime to doubt but only that you must doubt with your own verified figures. You are disputing but you don't have your own figures to prove that what the news says is wrong. That is how to counter an argument, not just with unfounded accusations. Stop making your education look like waste.
Trust me, quoting figures is the easy part. I am more concerned about how they arrived at that figure. Their methodology/result need to be reviewed thoroughly. A single link of their work published in a peer reviewed journal is the basic minimum that I am asking for, failing which, a preprint can suffice

What is ground breaking about maternity care? It's embarrassing to learn that maternity care is not available nationwide in 2025. This is simply a promotion of this maternity care provider ... boasting about meeting the minimum requirement of maternity care ...4 visits. They should state cost. What is the FG doing about providing education ... easily accessible and if not free... affordable centers with qualified staff? Chest beaters everywhere.
oga stop this nonsense talk

Dear Nigeria and Nigerians, we're not your ene.mies. in fact, we're by default "glad tidings for us, glad tidings for you. Look beyond the lies they told you about us. In general, have you we sold anything to you beyond kindness?
You guys are wired to be foolish! Africans are just foolish people........so what model are other African nations with better mortality rates using!
Anambra state has the best performing primary health care in the country for the better part of a decade........what model are they using?
Let us not re invent the wheel......Nigerian institution tend to suffer organizational memory loss ..due to instability and corruption, we tend to forget how things were done well in the past!

It's a good initiative but it's not the only good model...so stop the ethnic triumphalism...nobody needs it!

See tribalist pretending to look neutral. Dey play. Did you not see Professor Ngozi Orazulike in the team? When you'd be jumping into threads to drop comments without reading. Stop pretending
I'm an omoluabi too but hate tribalism with passion. Yorubas and ibos are tge key players in Nigeria. This must stop

I wish we can always keep emotions aside in certain issues.

Western media doesn’t owe any African any obligation to report our good news. We owe ourselves that.

Now, how many of our local media has reported this development? Even NTA; our state owned tv station has not even made a headline of it. Why then should CNN do it for you?

Why should anyone even report it when the treatment or findings is vague? You think medicine is social studies where you do guess work?
In medicine, your license is the easiest to revoke if you do any how.

A lot of work has to be put in research and development of this project. Then get it standardized before wishing CNN to broadcast it for you.
Unpaid Bodyguard for western media.

That post goes beyond the immediate topic, and relates to the scandalous misrepresentation of the African reality by western media.

In my over 40 years of watching television I have never seen one decent HOUSE in Africa shown on CNN or BBC.

Or ANY western media.

That is why when you go to the western world and tell people you are from Africa, they automatically assume you came from some dirty village with mud huts or some shanties or slums.

Why?

Because that’s ALL they have ever seen about ‘AFRICA’ on their screens their entire lives.

So whatever quality of research you are referring to matters zero.

Even if it was Nobel Prize worthy scientific research, it will be completely ignored by the western media and establishment.

Two years ago, each semi finalist of UCL had Youuubba in them. Dortmund had Adeyemi, Man city had Akanji, Madrid had Alaba and Bayern had Musiala. Alaba went on to win treble.
You don't see us saying anything about that cos there's too many of us doing that... yet
UCL>>>>>FA
Just last year, Lookman had hatrick in UEL final... so what's up with your weeping over just FA?

Bodyguard for western media? Unto Wetin?

I’m just saying that you may have to wait a 100 more years for western media to report anything good about you and black Africa. And if we want to be honest with ourselves; they don’t owe us that.

We barely report any good thing about ourselves here but want western media to do it for you. I ask again, is this particular news a headliner on NTA? Definitely not! So why do you feel it’s an obligation for CNN to do it for you? Haa!

Even the presidency has not made any statement on this but are quick to make statements on irrelevant issues. And you still expect outsiders to carry your matter for head?

Somewhere in Burkina Faso Africa, Traore seem to be changing situation there and using the media to show the world. But same black Africans are the one running malicious campaigns against him.

Again, medical research and findings is not beer parlor deliberations. They work with facts, trials and results. Not some vague pronouncements.

As for how the west portray us as people who live in slums, mud huts and shanties.. I wish they are lying. But they are not.

Over 60% of black Africans live in slums, mud huts and shanties. Them no lie sir.

Just strive to change your situation if you don’t like it.
