Yes. I know because my mom had a big supermarket, and her children ate so many things everyday at will, that woman suffer at their hands, of course I no follow.

It can only be profitable if you don't have a sales boy or girl, if you don't allow your kids come to your shop. Then you are good to go.

She always stay in her shop with her old yoruba mother.

Whenever ireti goes out, her old mother helps her sell stuffs.
The old woman is partially blind
As kids back then we will wait till ireti goes out then we go to her shop.

Knowing that the old woman was partially blind. We would steal lots of biscuits without her knowing.

Of course we couldnt try it if Ireti was around.
We only strike when she goes out.
We were never caught and it was so much fun.

The person that posted this knows nothing about this business. The business is one of the most profitable yet underrated by those with no experience.

My guy use am build him house finish small small.
Na you no know the levels. Expand it and look for what is fast moving around that vicinity eg articles and add to it.

Very lucrative....I know person's who have built houses and sent kids to good schools via this business.

As a distributor. It's very profitable. Especially if you have a lot of retailers buying from you. The company brings the products directly to you, sometimes on credit. I know one senior banker who resigned to join his wife as a confectionery distributor. He has a big warehouse in Ibadan and he's doing very okay.

As a petty trader/ retailer. It's not very profitable. Except you have high turnover. But then, your neighbours will notice the turnover and join you for competition and reduce your profits.

So. It really depends.

For someone with small small children it may not be profitable

The gain is small but nah turnover be the koko

5-10 naira profit business can amount to thousands per day if your location is strategic enough! A lady that sells near a school close to me sells over a carton of various stuffs in an hour before school starts not to talk of after closing and normally gets patronage from residents of the area till she closes shop at night.

At about 90 years, my grandmother started selling biscuits and sweets just because she wanted to be giving children freely. Out of we six grandchildren, four of us were working in preferred blue and green chip companies then, so when we give her money every month, she buys biscuits and sweets in cartons and put in her so called shop to give children
