It's when you have a politician in power you talk about the next election before halftime. It means that kind of person has nothing to offer but politics. They can't govern. They can't lead. Think about it. It mens Tinubu has nothing to show for that it's 2027 that's the hot topic in 2025. Normally, we would be talking about 2 years in office but we are talking about who will defeat him. What a country.

All the governors have one vote each. That will not stop the SE from voting against Tinubu.

What happened in 2023 will happen again in 2027

they indirectly have more than 1 vote. You see Nigerian voters are hungry people, both poor and the rich. I can assure you everybody(maybe not everybody but almost all) working with the governors will deliver their votes and those of their families and people that feed under them. It wont make Tinubu win any south east state. but u may begin to see Tinubu now getting 25% or close to that) from SE....its not just people working for governors, all the people that benefit under the umbrella of governor-contractors, suppliers, their families, their employees. Nigerians want a good country o BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, they want to protect their own source of income first

I was reading a post online earlier today where someone commented on the unfortunate story of a former Dep Gov of Ekiti. the story goes that he became deputy governor by accident/good fortune and then started having ambitions of becoming governor himself. He was told to take the senate seat on a platter but he refused insisting on running for Governor. The poster said no one has heard of him since..plus governor o, plus senate o...nothing for him!

There are very few politicians who know when to appreciate that God has smiled on them and not to push their luck. Osinbajo, Ambode, Fubara...the list is endless of those who didn’t!

Obi should know that politically, the most he will ever get in life from here is a ministerial slot or maybe Ambassador to Singapore! He endorses Tinubu, he doesnt endorse Tinubu, Obi cannot win and Tinubu victory is unassailable. His path to victory does not include ibo votes.

he will fall away after 2027, just like this deputy gov of Ekiti! because after 2027 he has no relevance politically, the Southern slot is gone!

I think the former deputy governor in question was a certain Kolapo Olushola. the post didnt mention the name except that he was a professor!

If Tinubu eventually wins 2027 election, I just hope that their won't be further cry of marginalisation and injustice when the zone that gave him much more gets VP position as it's only fair for people to reap only where they sowed. I wish Soludo is picked as VP in 2031
