I understand her emotional state. There are 3 sides to a story. YOUR SIDE, MY SIDE AND THE TRUTH. we could break it down to TWO , the truth and which person's view flows with the truth BUT ALL OVER THR WORLD - MEDICAL OFFICERS ARE NOT BUILT TO BE EMOTIONAL AND DO THNNGS OUTTA PITY. Ihave been there, you can insult them all u want, they are bunch of controlled psychos who are trained to get ur MONEY, TREAT YOU AND SAY MR A IS RESPONDING TO TREATMENT OR SAY MR B DIED, DIDNT SURVIVE THE OPERATION. They are on a job, they can tell a mother who lost her baby that her child died and move to the next room to congratulate another of bringing a new born to the world. THEY MASK THEIR EMOTIONS AND GO WITH THE FLOW. Can u be happy for Mr A and feel sad for Mr B within seconds (changing emotions just like that). I know we complain about Nigerian Doctors and Nurses . In UK , the saddened victim sometimes traces Doctor and gun them down outta emotional breakdown. Doctor's aint robot. They see dead and alive people every seconds. They are living like ghost everyday of their lives

Some doctors and nurses have lost the humanity side of the profession. Imagine laughing at someone's pain of losing someone or almost about to lose someone. You said the best doctors are those without souls? Lies from the pit of hell. Empathy and compassion should be non-negotiable values in the health profession. Run from any health professional who has lost the humanity touch of the health profession, because you are dealing with the devil in human form. KnowledgePower7: |

johnog4sure:The issue is 90% of nigerians have no idea hw the medical profession work What is part of professional protocol looks like some kinda negligence to them Medical negligence is more of a subjective term Mostly it's bound in ignorance Doctors are stretch overworked and underpaid working long long hours yet the society have the guts to insult or accuse them of being insensitive |

You guys will come online to bash Nigerian doctors endlessly and mercilessly, even when you don't really know what happened, and then you'll go to the hospitals and expect them to lay their lives for you without paying. |

She end up not saying anything only pouring emotions, there is always other side of the coin, let us know what transpires first before we judge, sorry for her lost though. But Drs will always try but they can't prevent ultimate death when the times come, beside the priority will always be to prevent another, the overwhelming system put them at the edge every second matters in Hospital,While you're grieving yours they are also trying to prevent someone family from grieving |

The government take more blame than these overworked and some cases under trained and incompetent doctors and nurses. We definitely have misplaced priority and regressive modes of fixing our problems. |

rapheal5:That it was successful from your story does not mean CS isn't the better option because in medicine, you never say never. She could very easily have lost that baby to a strangulated umbilical cord. That was just one of a rare incident she should thank her stars, unless there was another maternal complication you are not stating where C/S might lead to her death too. |

She's part of the problem. If the husband died because of negligence by the doctors and nurses ... then she should take them to court. If more people do this...only then we would see a change. Until such time ....business as usual. Just wondering why is she soooo shook and the one to bring it to SM.... to me that's not normal. |

So, for like 3 years now, I've been suffering from this frequent nasal congestion that even inhalers could not take care of unless I used nasal drops. I thought maybe it was a disease or an infection or something like that without knowing that it was actually as a result AC usage. So, few months ago, it got a little worse and I went to the hospital and the doctor just pointed a Torchlight inside my nose and instantly said I had sinusitis which had gotten worse due to excessive usage of nasal drops and now, the only permanent cure to it is to undergo a nasal surgery which might cost at least 480k. After the consultation, he gave me some drugs to just help but insisted on the surgery and so I left and went into pondering on whether to do the surgery or not considering the possibility of complications afterwards Somehow, due to the increased cost of electricity tariffs this period, I stopped using AC and bought rechargeable fans instead to reduce cost. Guess what guys? My nasal blockages completely went away on its own and it was then that I realized it was actually AC that was causing me that. Imagine if I had gone for the surgery, imagine the wrong diagnosis, imagine if the surgery had gone wrong, imagine the amount of money I would have wasted going for nasal surgery. This is what a wrong medical practice could cause. Our medical practitioners need to do better. |

SoftSport:You won't understand what shw is saying until you are a victim if what she is saying Nigeria is a lawless country and it shows in its medicare, our medicare is abysmal lets say the truth. I have been in a precarious before , if not that I was the one that took my mum to the clinic during an emergency maybe she won't be with us today. I won't bore you with the story but it fell short of an E if it were to be graded. |

EeyanMayweather:Even if she doesn't narrate, millions of Nigerians may have had a sad story with medical professionals. I have had my own fair story when i rushed my num during an emergency. They should do better, our country is ethically and morally bankrupt, professionals shouldn't follow suit |

Natbrowny:This isn't about the issue, if you do your job and someone dies that's fine but to keep an emergency patient unattended to until the person does is unthinkable but it happens everyday. I have been in such situation until i marshalled them into emergency services instantly, someone with money and you are nonchalant about an emergency? i threatened legal actions and street if anything happens to my mum if she wasn't attended o before they alll did the needful. We need to do better |

SoftSport:Exactly Nigerian patients and their relatives are one of the most wicked weapons fashioned against doctors. From history taking down to treatment it's a struggle with them. Some lie, some will never answer your questions then there's poverty. Some drugs you prescribe to them are quite expensive then there's the fact that even after doing all your patient may still die. But then every profession has their bad eggs. |
