Let's look at this from another angle. The fact is, most of our prisions are old and out of date. Most were new when our grandparents were not even born yet. I think that Kuje prision is the newest prision in NIgeria, and it was built in the 1980's. SO, why won't they be easy to break out from? APC has seen many prision breaks since 2015. Godsonkemz:Like the one that happened in the USA? In the USA, prision breaks are a common thing. Also in France recently, a high security risk prisioner broke out of prision in an escape that involved helicopter. Also keep in mind that many of our prisions are old. Easy to escape from. The surprising thing is that more prisioners haven't done a runner. Blame your government for not improving them, or building new secure ones. |

Another rainy season in Nigeria equals to.. Flooding in Urban areas due to poor drainage systems or non existing drainages. Jail breaks due to dilapidated prison buildings. Roads not tarred evolving into sink holes. Falling down of buildings not constructed within the right building policy and lack or minimal supervision from the appropriate building authorities. I stated this because this are recurrent scenarios that play out every year since I was small. It's as if we don't learn in this country, all we do is to be reactive. Well at least Power generation threshold increases. All in all Rainy season is the best to me. 1 Like |

Dexpro:The officials of the correctional facilities are aware of the pros of database but however, it would limit corruption, accountability and extortion. So they can't afford to lose the grip on their illegal ways. Nigeria is too corrupt. |

1 or 2 years ago they argued that excess rain was the reason why hundreds of hardened criminals, terrorists and rapists escape prison. They repeat the same excuse again today.  Are they saying all this while since that incident they did no employ appropriate measures they promised to provide to forestall such incidences from repeating itself. 1 Like |

The police should take over from here,in saner climes,the first thing to do is to post the picture of the escapees on every platform accompanied with this plea that the public should notify the authority in case you come across them.With specific warning of how dangerous they criminals are and the kind of crime they were involved in.May be a serial killer or paedophile etc. |
