Can anyone tell me why businesses spring up in Nigeria. Begins to bloom and blossom and give it 10 to 20 years. It fizzles out.

I have been thinking about this

KFC almost Dead.

Savanna Chum chum- Dead

Countless businesses in all sectors. Start and never exceeds 2 to 3 decades.

Only few musicians last 15 years actively in the scene and they fade. Why can't they write and keep pushing out music. Even if they can't write. People hire writers. What is wrong with Naija.

The same time English people built their rail ways was when they built the ones they left in Nigeria. 30 years after they left. rail way died. efforts to resuscitate it has taken ages.

What is wrong with our Country?
Bad federal government policies due to corrupt, senseless people being made President especially and then Governors and Senators.

Followed with Ministers and civil servants.

These are the people destroying Nigeria beyond measures, especially President because he decides everything

So you lack the brain power and basic intellect to engage in a civil conversation.

Wise people ask questions and only in questions can solution be found but no, your brain lacks what it takes. You are probably really struggling but instead of deploying your brain to reason my questions for us to start looking for solutions. you forgot your brain on your key pad. Good luck Tunde
That is their way, that is how they have kept Nigeria performing below par, always forming patriotic in empty stomach and corruption.

I don't know where they learnt that stupidity from, that you must be praising your country and be hailing the President even when he is a glaring failure and nodowell. All because their corrupt tribesman rigged his way to become an illegitimate President so they expect every Nigerian to be happy with his failure and not complain, I don't blame them sha angry

Amoke Oge.....Yoruba and Igbo ONLY
Go check Yoruba meaning of OGE.
It's Yoruba oge, not Igbo Ogechi.

Stop forcing Igbo into Yoruba affairs.

1. Terrible economy, for businesses.

2. Corruption, for lack of development.

Doesn't change the fact that the country is a 3rd world nation. No laws and regulations.

Too much money does not make a country an appealing place. Many other things are involved!

Abeg find another thing talk!

Hope FIRS is listening 😃
FIRS should go and do property tax on the myriads of locked up houses owned by politicians with stolen funds and let a hustling entrepreneur like Amoke breathe

Instead of ordering, why not just go to the restaurant and eat there. Or she doesn't have a physical shop?
Omoapena:
during buhari regime, I used to personally order in the morning and evening, her meal was very affordable, imagine ordering meal from amoke oge in oguntole street in somolu to mushin, i pay around 900naira for delivery then

The world itself is evolving.even in U.K and U.S many known businesses are giving way fot the new and influential people are buying off some and rebranding it.Amoke however has been around for over 10years and going strong.i knew Amoke from way back in Shomolu in a small space, today she has different big outlets.Already she has decided to make it work as this is her passion. Most people do bizz for the money and once the passion isn't there, or they don't put good staff there,it crumbles.Every piece of food in Amoke now,is computerized.so it will be hard to steal money there.

People eating and buying takeout is quadruple that amount. Revenue will be in billions annually.
She made most fast food outlets redundant with her strategy. Not an easy feat

I as a customer have spent close to a million on amoke oge just this year alone.
how does it work ? How do we order and is the food coming from one outlet or several outlet ? Will they deliver to maruwa ?
Re: Local Food Vendor “Amoke Oge” Hits N2.3 Billion In Deliveries On Chowdeck by Love800(m): 10:22am On May 21, 2025
Instead of online, why not operate a physical shop, where people can stroll in to eat. You will be making daily profit!
Ouchbabe:
Congratulations to her.
My own online restaurant is not giving me joy at all. I have over 10, 000 followers on Facebook but most order I get are outside my location, sometimes outside Lagos.
I'm on the island VGC, Ajah , Sangotedo axis.
Someone should please help me out here. What am I not doing right and what should I do please?😭😭😭

What's the meaning of the bolded?
kolente:
I hear people say sponsored post or PR stunt in the comment section.

I would love to know the average age range of Nairaland users.

Someone is cashing out big time on a very soft business and they call it PR and sponsored post undecided

Can you imagine the ignorance being peddled on a public forum.

Lagos State remains the biggest market for any consumable in Africa and not Nigeria alone. If you know the number of White collar employees that "eat out" daily and cash in on that, you will not doubt this data.

It's an app based service and no need for alteration. To get this number is seamless and can be retrieved back end.

Congratulations on the milestone Chowdeck and please don't encourage people use your platform to peddle hard drugs on delivery.

Good stuff !

An app based solution doesn't need manipulation, the data and stats are glaring and can be verified.

Keep doubting, while others make it happen.
