Tottenham end 17-Year trophy drought with Europa League triumph over Manchester United.

For Tottenham, this victory marks the end of a long wait for silverware, their last trophy being the 2008 League Cup

In a historic night for Tottenham Hotspur, the North London club secured their first major trophy in 17 years by defeating Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final.

The decisive goal came in the 42nd minute, with Brennan Johnson converting an assist from Pape Sarr to send Spurs fans into raptures.

Though Wednesday’s match was by no means a dream final, Manchester United enjoyed the lion’s share of possession early on, pushing Spurs deep into their own half.

The Red Devils threatened several times through Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Højlund, but Guglielmo Vicario stood firm in goal.

A key turning point arrived in the 42nd minute. Pape Sarr launched a quick counter, sending in a low cross that Rodrigo Bentancur cleverly dummied, allowing Brennan Johnson to tap home from close range.

Despite United’s 60 per cent+ possession and territorial dominance, Spurs struck with precision—one attack, one goal.

Second Half

United threw everything forward in search of an equaliser. Garnacho came close, Bruno missed a sitter, and Højlund had a header blocked.

However, the Spurs backline, marshaled brilliantly by Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, held firm.

Time-wasting yellow cards and constant clearances showed Tottenham’s tactical maturity.

Late changes by Ruben Amorim, including the introductions of Garnacho and Zirkzee, added urgency but not the breakthrough.

Spurs absorbed wave after wave of pressure, with Destiny Udogie and Yves Bissouma making critical tackles and interceptions.

As the final whistle blew, the Tottenham players fell to their knees in jubilation. Ange Postecoglou’s men defied the odds, soaking up pressure and delivering when it mattered most.

Manchester United dominated much of the match but paid the price for their profligacy in front of goal.

Congratulations to them. Playing trophy less for 17 years is a terrible experience. At least the trophy went to London. Arsenal, when ooooo?

Tottenham was really lucky to escape relegation this season,finishing in the 17th position,while Man U is 16th. Imagine both teams playing EUROPA final. With this automatic champions league qualification,the clubs Management needs to restrategise.

We need to pray against every Manchester effect in our life this year.

Since last season,the Tottenham manager Postecoglu has always maintained that he always wins trophy in his second season but most of us sees him as a joker especially when you consider his very poor premier league form.
I wonder what Daniel Levi will do now after the man has won $100 million and a spot in the next season UEFA Champions League for him whether he will sack him or not because he has threatened to fire him.

Ange Postecoglu will be the first Australian manager to win any European title.
I think Arsenal FC should look in his direction because at least they will be guaranteed trophy at least in two years time.

Imagine the most two useless team in premier league playing in UEFA league final .. UEFA is now cup for baby team..so so boring

When I told some ManU fans here that Tenhag is actually a good coach, they kept saying the man is terrible. Now they should be asking themselves how Tenhag managed to use these average players to win back to back trophies. Amorim is also a good coach but united need to recruit players that suit his style and he needs to offload the ones who can't fit in properly. Onana needs to leave ASAP if anything is to change. His mistakes have really cost them this season. Congrats to spurs. They were poor too but managed the game better.

No UEFA Champions League football for Man Utd next season, hopefully they will put their house in order. They will have some free time on their hands to sort things out.

Man U fans are not saying Hag is bad. Rather , they are mad about the players he signed. He signed the Onana you want thrown out.

He signed Antony at a ridiculous amount amongst many wrong signings. That is what they have against him.
