In 1963, almost all countries in the world, including the US, China, and the Soviet Union, signed the Outer Space Treaty, which forbids any country from placing weapons in space.

The Golden Dome the US wants to create involves the placement of weapons in space, which clearly violates that treaty.

China is speaking up because the US is violating an international treaty that they all agreed to.

But rest assured that space-based weapons are not a problem for China or Russia. Once the US violates the treaty and builds them, they too will follow suit and build theirs too.
