I Am Really Afraid For Akwa Ibom State by kettykin(op): 11:22pm On May 22, 2025
Once a governor defects to the APC, governance often mutates into a grotesque performance of entitlement.

The hunger to impress vanishes. Complacency creeps in like mold—quiet, stubborn, and destructive.

Innovation dies not with a shrug. Decisions that once sparked growth are replaced by ceremonial nonsense, photo-ops, and recycled rhetoric.

And now Akwa Ibom, a state that for over a decade stood as the eastern corridor’s vanguard of growth, risks being lobotomized—its strategic edge dulled by party loyalty over public service. I’m genuinely alarmed.

Thank God Enugu, Abia, and Anambra haven’t bent the knee to the center. That disalignment is a strange blessing—it keeps governors alert, uncomfortable, and thus accountable. Because when re-election isn't guaranteed by party machinery, performance becomes the only real currency.

Cross river state is now a forgotten case , it is as if it never existed before. Benue is as good as gone, delta and edo are on the chopping block, imo state went with Rochas and after APGA, imo never returned, Ebonyi that was a massive construction site is now like a left over site.

God I beg you on my knees, let Abia, Enugu ,Anambra never join APC.

It's called state capture. That's how cartels roll. Slow and steady. Whether Enugu or Abia, Bauchi or Osun. It's just a matter of time. Don't forget that The Vulture is a Patient Bird.

You sit in the East but you are stretching neck to cry that a South South state is a beacon of growth in the Eastern corridor. Why can't you pick a state in your region as an example of growth?
Or progress is a taboo in the East?
Akwa Ibom isn't even in the East.

If Pdp were such a fantastic party, why did you vote them out in Abia?

You are supporting LP but crying that someone decamped from Pdp. You people are not even serious.

They hardly reason before the talk. They couldn’t fix their own state yet bothered about fixing another state. You begin to wonder if they have followcome mental issues

I am asking this question again and again, what is Umo going to APC to do? Not that this APC is performing for you to say I am going there because of how they're performing. The worst political party with the worst ideology ever.

People are saying that politics is all about interest. I am asking again, what type of interest is Umo Eno looking for now in APC?does he want to contest for presidential election, me and you knows that it's not even possible. I don't know who's deceiving this man and he believes it.

Umo Eno really betrays us Akwa Ibomites. I don't care if Tinubu wins his reelection, that's not my business. But I want Umo Eno to be taught a life lesson if he finally decamps by losing his reelection bid, which is so imminent. Everyone will work against his reelection.

No mincing of words. You people are immature, intolerant for political stuffs

You guys are not interested in living while allowing others to breathe

Worry about your home state, worry about your own life. Akwa Ibom people are not complaining to you

It's actually lack of self respect that makes them to be pokenosing into other affairs while their proffer solution can never be applicable to the problems facing them in their own region

You forgot to mention increase in crime rate anytime a party goes APC…Nigeria is a lost case which inspite of all the potentials of the country can never be redeemed but can also get worse

I completely agree with you. It seems for the first time that bad governance is about to be ushered into the state.
I have always been suspicious of the “Pst” Umo Eno from the way he talks . Every time he opens his mouth, rubbish must come out, however his present actions has clearly shown that he is a good example of the worst of us.

God show us mercy.

What you are really afraid of is Tinubu winning Akwa Ibom and other state that may decamp to APC.

And what I will tell you is to be scared.

Without Igbo and Christians votes you will realize Peter Obi is nothing.

The small sucess Peter Obi enjoyed outside the East in places like Lagos and Plateau is because of him going from one church to the other during the last election to campaign against islamization agenda conspiracies, Tinubu have already destroyed that game for him, he only have Igbo votes Left and I will tell you even that 95% Igbo votes Tinubu already have plan to hijack more than 30%

Re: I Am Really Afraid For Akwa Ibom State by DeJoeee(m): 9:16am On May 23, 2025
Nigeria is geographically divided into North, West and East. The Army, customs and other FG agencies operates with the Eastern, Northern and Western corridors in their tactical operations, The Nigerian economic zones are divided into Western, Eastern and Northern corridors. All SE/SS states except Edo state fall within the Eastern corridor
I am not interested in your petty politics but stop exposing your ignorance on a public forum

The problem is, your average politician in Nigeria does not know what to do when they are not at the center.

As a result, we have never had a mature Opposition in Nigeria. Just politicians switching sides when they like.

Are you re-electing him based on his person or party? If you so much love his performance then whichever party that he goes doesn't matter.
