The bitter truth is he will win again. Nigerians are so religious but very far from God. In a country where true God is served, someone like Tinubu will never be president but it is what it is

If you have a working brain you would see that i only talked about those who endorsed him and not about economy or other things...Only talked about the reasons tey endorsed him..ALso stated that people who rant, cry, act to know more but know nothing and complanants general like you dont go out to vote....

However, you lots will keep crying as if you are the only ones feeling the heat of whatever any govt brings about...I had never complained during Buhari and Goodluck tenures, should i now start to complain about Tinubus regime?

If thety check the profiles of all the town criers on this forums and other forums, we will find out that those sets of people have always been criers and complaints general in every emerging govt...

They are lazy people who are looking for everything to remain soft..
People can complain but not that you should turn it intio a job. On every posts either it is related to the govt or tinubu or not they will always find a way to rant
They're actually correct with their assessment of you and your mentality.

So people shouldn't complain about the hardship because You who loves your chains and shackles did not complain? We should all practice suffering and smiling because Britishpea is comfortable with suffering.

Your mentality is whack and very backward! There's nothing wrong in complaining and criticising the government all the time or occasionally, it is within your right to do so and the past governments including this incumbent has been very poor to say the least.

And how did you arrive at the conclusion that those who complained are not voting? That's a very lazy thing to say and downright insulting to the majority of Nigerians who are going through a lot of hardship due to the government policies.

From all you've said I can deduce that you're one of those Tinubu e warriors but you're too cowardly to come plain and own your sycophancy.

no sane person is using their clear eyes and minds to vote for or endorse tinubu, they are all doing it because of the power he holds over them as well as to obtain personal favors. if tinubu dies tomorrow morning nobody would give a Bleep about him. especially these greedy gluttons we have as politicians
If he does, it might take Nigeria longer years to recover from the loss.

But that won't happen, so you won't have an avenue to change your perspective/narratives while he's gone.

It takes wickedness to deny all these good works he's doing....just because you want to force someone with unknown capacity on people.

No they're not. I thought they were actually saying the same thing until I read Britishpea's reply to him and it becomes apparently clear where Britishpea's allegiances leans.

Obi, Atiku, El-Rufai and their likes should not contest. Nigeria needs fresh hands with solid track of honest and visionary leadership to deliver the country from the southward drive we have found ourselves. This country is bleeding and should not be allowed to bleed to death.
Oga just say that you're a Tinubu supporter and stop masquerading as someone who gives a damn about the progress of the country.
Your initial point was that Atiku is a Fulani man who should let the South complete their term uninterrupted and also that the Fulani has misruled the country on several occasions. Fair enough, but Obi is neither a Fulani man nor has a track record of misappropriation or corruption and is currently the most upright candidate we have currently But Yet you don't want him either, you don't even want him to contest rather you want to manufacture a candidate that doesn't exist.

So let me get this straight—you're saying that because Tinubu has increased the personal benefits of governors and lawmakers, it justifies their endorsement of him for a second term? Are you even listening to yourself? Since when did self-serving greed become a benchmark for national leadership?

What you’re defending isn’t governance; it’s a transactional racket where public funds are weaponized to buy loyalty from the political elite, all at the expense of the people. Increased allocations to governors? A billion naira for each National Assembly member under the guise of "constituency projects"? Show us the impact. Where are the results? Or do you think Nigerians are too blind or too beaten down to question this blatant looting?

You say, “Who else should endorse him?” How about the Nigerian people? Or do they not count in your idea of democracy anymore?

And your lazy jab about voters not coming out—do you even care to ask why? Maybe it’s because people are sick of a political system rigged in favor of politicians who endorse each other while the country crumbles. Maybe it's because no matter who they vote for, they end up with leaders more loyal to their bank accounts than the citizens.

Now let me ask you—is this what you think a president should be doing? Using national resources to bribe the political class into backing him? Is that your idea of leadership? If so, then you’re part of the problem.
You guys are almost on the same page. Just different routes.
From what he wrote.
The Governor's have gotten more than they bargained for interms of funds likewise the honourable members.
So naturally they would endorsed him against the masses wishes.
It's now left for the electorates to decide his fate to stand firm against election manipulation.

Don’t patronize me with that lazy “read again” nonsense. I read it just fine the first time—and what’s actually contradicting here is your ability to process what was said.

The man’s point was that governors and lawmakers are endorsing the president because he’s funneled more money their way—not because of national progress, not because of any transformative leadership, but because their pockets are heavier. That’s not a justification—it’s an indictment.

So when I call that out as corruption, not merit, you say I’m contradicting him? No—I’m exposing him. You’re just too comfortable with mediocrity and greed masquerading as governance to admit it.

Here’s the bottom line: if a president needs to grease the hands of governors and lawmakers with outrageous allocations just to earn their endorsement, that’s not democracy—that’s organized looting. And if you’re defending that, then don’t pretend you care about Nigeria. You're just defending a feeding trough because your favorite pigs are the ones eating.

Now go read that again—slowly this time.
Calm down Brother.
No one is happy with the stupid endorsement of him.
They guy just buttresd why he got automatic endorsement.

Baba what you are saying is not different from what the other guy said. You just elaborated what he said. That Tinubu has bought the serving Politicians, which doesn't necessarily reflect the opinions of the masses.
I personally feel Tinubu will win 2nd term too judging from the mass decamping to APC and his adoption by other parties. He will definitely not get my own vote. I can't again. I once did and it seriously backfired. He is too elitist, corrupt, obsessive and reckless to lead this country aright. He won't achieve anything of value even in 25years.

Tinubu in his performance so far as the country's president has come under severe criticism and painful attacks because of some insensitive policies and his past penchant for corruption. Also, having rogues and day-light robbers frolicking around his government leaves little to be desired about.

That said, in a contest between the "Bad and the Worst" I will always go for the "Bad" out of helplessness. If the contest is between Atiku and Tinubu, I bet you Tinubu will be far better. I don't like him for so many reasons, but Atiku, the fulani man will be worst for Nigeria. Anytime a Southern president is in power the North will start agitating to snatch power. Give them power and they will mess up everything and send Nigeria back to 50 years beyond redemption. Isn't that crazy? If power must shift to the North again, it has to be North-Central.
What of between OBI and TINUBU

The reason you were asked to read the statement again is because the person you quoted never claimed it was a JUSTIFICATION, and neither did they suggest the actions were RIGHT. They simply pointed out the obvious (albeit selfish) reason why politicians were endorsing the president.
Thank you all for your responses. I understand that the core argument being made is that the initial comment was simply stating an observable political reality rather than justifying it. However, my response was not rooted in misunderstanding that distinction—it was a deliberate call for deeper reflection on how such “obvious truths” are framed.

Merely pointing out that politicians endorse a president for selfish gains, without expressing disapproval or contextual critique, risks normalizing the very dysfunction we claim to oppose. My concern is not with the factual content of the statement, but with the passive tone that allows unethical political behavior to be discussed as if it were routine, acceptable, or beyond scrutiny.

We might indeed be on similar pages regarding the outcomes of these endorsements—but if we use different routes, it's critical to ensure that our route doesn’t silently excuse the erosion of accountability. Transparency and responsible political discourse demand that we do more than observe; they require us to challenge, question, and call out what is wrong, even when it’s "obvious."

Ultimately, it's not about anger or agreement—it's about how we use our voices to shape public understanding and expectations.

In a worst-case scenario, I meant. Obi is perfect for the job.

But in a political permutation whereby Obi is not motivated to contest because of some dirty schemes, definitely Tinubu and Atiku might emerge. We understand that all APC is trying hard to do is unsettle Obi from contesting. He is the only stumbling block and a cog in the wheel as far as 2027 matters to them.
