The European Union, which was formed for the primary purpose of taking advantage of the United States on TRADE, has been very difficult to deal with. Their powerful Trade Barriers, Vat Taxes, ridiculous Corporate Penalties, Non-Monetary Trade Barriers, Monetary Manipulations, unfair and unjustified lawsuits against Americans Companies, and more, have led to a Trade Deficit with the U.S. of more than $250,000,000 a year, a number which is totally unacceptable. Our discussions with them are going nowhere!

Therefore, I am recommending a straight 50% Tariff on the European Union, starting on June 1, 2025. There is no Tariff if the product is built or manufactured in the United States. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I can't blame Trump on this one. The EU is actually a tough place to do business.

Imagine trying to negotiate with about 30 countries over unfair trade practices. There's bound to be a lot of bottle necks.

Starting or registering a company in Europe is expensive, taxes are high, you also have customer data protection laws that your company can break without even realising and you will be fined heavily for it.

Ease of doing business is something else. It's probably Estonia and a handful of countries who are trying to break some of these barriers.

He actually has a point, USa helped rebuild Germany after WW2. NATO depend heavily on US yet they tax US companies very heavy to protect their own interest. They benefit more from USA than USA benefit from them, Trump might be a mad man but he is totally right on this. Europe Union is time to pay your own fair share

we don't have much to trade with America besides raw minerals that they buy from us. We don't buy anything from America so nothing to tax

He has been told in private that countries do more trades among themselves than with US but he is not listening. Everything from cars to tools to electronics to batteries are made outside US. Just sample everything around you even to your wears and medicines, none is made in US!
