Registering a new party is next to impossible...INEC would simply frustrate them.

From what I saw on SM, they already spoke with the leaders of the party, and those ones have agreed to surrender party machinery to them, including the chairman of the party stepping down...I guess that was the mistake Peter Obi made with LP dem.

APC is very okay with ensuring either of Peter Obi or Atiku can't contest 2027 so that it'd be Tinubu vs some plant contesting the elections. I suspect they're doing that to ensure the campaign trail isn't more difficult than it needs be, which would require BAT to be personally involved.

Not like she canceled her family, more like a case of she married him without their blessings and she chose to live with the consequence. Unfortunately she learnt a bitter lesson like u rightly said.

Why would INEC frustrate them in registering a new party? Is there a ban on registering new parties currently?

I think registering a new party is still the best option cos no matter what promises those existing party members make, if they get a sumptuous offer from APC some of them will jump at it and cause problem in the party.

They should have hanged Emefiele by now. The scale of what he looted is staggering - historic, even. And make no mistake, they’re underreporting it.
Even this corrupt government is too stunned to tell the full truth - because if Nigerians saw the real numbers, the outrage would burn down institutions.
Just those 753 duplexes alone must’ve cost at least ₦300 billion. That’s not theft - that’s national sabotage.
For 9 years as CBN governor, the man had unlimited access to the vault. I’d bet he stashed nothing less than $5–10 billion.
We talk about looters, but Emefiele ran Nigeria like a personal Ponzi scheme.

Until negotiations and coalition agreements are finalized, he remains an LP member.

2027 is two years out.

If negotiations fall through, 2027 will be a wash.

Matter of fact, Obi does not need the coalition.
When Tinubu and Shettima are through with Nigeria, bandits on TikTok will campaign for him in 2035/2039.

I care about a coalition primarily because I despise the prospect of a Shettima or Kwankwaso Presidency.

That's not all.
We're about to start Year 3 of 4.
No one knows Tinubu's economic plan.
Heck, a Trumpian concept of a plan does not exist.
He is content with sending prayers to the mailboxes of politicians to secure his reelection.

We've wasted two years.
The next two years are practically written off.
What incentive would Tinubu have to perform after his re-election, if he couldn't be bothered to do so anytime in the last two years?

If you're keeping count, that'll be a cumulative 8 wasted years. Make that 16. Shettima and Kwankwaso are Buhari Pro Max.

Why does this matter? Economic cycles!
Over the next 12 years, it is inevitable that we will have to contend with external shocks.
If the economy remains comatose for an extended period, those shocks will send us into a tailspin.
The sacrifices Nigerians made over the last 2 years will be for naught.

Tinubu is a political wizard. But he is a very average administrator.
We've seen his best. We're living through it. It is odious!
I admit he notched wins with the elimination of subsidies (gasoline, currency, electricity).
But his economic performance is inexcusable. A finance professional with the experience to boot.
His heir apparents will be worse.
Atiku/Obi will carve their names in gold if they can rescue the nation from the doomed path it's on.
If for whatever reason they fail, well, good luck to Nigerians.

Buhari-Tinubu-Shettima.
24 years in a death spiral.
The best thing to do is gtfo and watch this slo-mo train wreck from afar.

You think they haven't thought of registering a new party?

There's no ban on registering new political parties, but INEC makes the process almost impossible to, through the requirements you have to meet and administrative delays they'd include.

Why is everyone always talking about Emefiele's thievery and not talking about how irresponsible Buhari was giving all his appointees "free hand" without check?

I fear that others who served under.Bugari may have stolen substantial sums that we don't know of presently because nobody was checking them too. I feel we are only hearing of Emefiele's own because he ran into trouble with the current leadership of the country

They can sue INEC if it fails to allow them register new parties. INEC will budge under pressure of potential lawsuit and international media attention.

Using an existing party is never a good decision in this case at all.

It is the best way to go if they actually want to achieve anything with the proposed coalition. They can always expel any member that wants to call problem in the new party.

But using an existing party, the old members of the party will show them shege if they get signed by APC to work as spoiler

Well INEC would not outrightly refuse registration of a new party, they'd just do enough to make the politicians know they're embarking on a fool's errand.

I'm sure these guys have thought of this angle of registering a new political party, cause it's the obvious line of thought, it's cause they know it won't work that they've settled for working with existing parties. in hindsight, they'd probably have done registration down in a previous election cycle, but build-up to 2027, there's no way.

You've not given reasons why the registration would not work.

LordAdam16 already echoed what would have been my objective response. Personally, I dislike Peter Obi and almost everything he stands for. I can't stand him. Unfortunately, he has become a political necessity for an opposition movement. I can only hope him saying things like this is just him not playing his cards too early like LordAdam16 suggested. I want to believe PO knows what is at stake here. He knows for a fact that he cannot win an incumbent Tinubu. There is no permutation whatsoever where he wins. Even if Atiku should step down and throw his weight behind PO, he cannot win. If he insists on contesting then it is nothing short of political sabotage of eastern Nigeria. Like LordAdam16 said, it is not even Tinubu I am worried about, it is what will come after if Tinubu should win again. There is absolutely no way to stop that disaster from happening after 2027. It is now or never. It is unfortunate that half the youths where I am from have been brainwashed by secessionists while the other half have been brainwashed by PO. It is just really unfortunate. I don explain tire nobody dey hear word.

I am not an accounting student so I have little or no knowledge background on account
But in school I remember I did some acc101, bam 101 etc
I want to register for ican this June, I went to their website and I have been reading too many mumbo jumbo I don’t understand, I just want easy way to register jare
I have these questions:
1. Will I have some exemptions because of my little knowledge if I start from foundation level and experience with ERPs?
2. Is it true I have to register under someone that have done ican before maybe alumni, ex students of ican?
3. Must I go for classes either online or offline? Can’t I just get hand outs to read?
4. If I fail a paper how many times do I have for retry or rewrite?

If I remember others I will let you know

Others stole, Emefiele sank the country. While others committed crime, Emefiele committed treason because his thievery was capable of ending the country.

Though the obvious must be stated, he stole for the cabals whom the cowardd Tinubu doesn’t want to fight because I am sure Emefiele has been singing all these while.

Possibly, he could be a maniac too because whenever I see his luxurious mansion or castle even at Agbor lying empty and abandoned, I weep for this country.
