Which grease is best for Honda cup? There is the rubbish grease one mechanic use on the shaft cuo and after few days it turns something like water. It ruins the cup which now need change now. Also which brake pad is best for Honda disk that will not be making those braking noise when marching brake. |

MajorB009:it's over heating. The car have over heated before. Is the radiator vomiting water or any water shortage? |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by fineboynl(m): 9:21pm On May 19, 2025 |
MajorB009:Unfortunately if there is no radiator like. Here is likely the case. Honda can Honda over heating more than Toyota. The serious issue you have there. Putting on the ac means more load and more fuel, more combustion and more heat. |

mekus007:Brake pad also cause this if only happens when you brake. First use sand paper to file your brake pad before installing If it stop. Then change the brake pad because it will start again after sometimes especially if water enter. |

fineboynl:Go for MRS grease, last time (like 2yrs) I bought it, it was around 8k. And it lasted well. I have been using asimco brake pad. And they last well without noise. Though, I think fake ones have been introduced. |

mejai:Thanks. But there is one Grease that's square is around 4k I heard it's also good from one mechanic. For brake pads I heard asinco spoil the brake disc. Because Brake pad that refuses to chop will likely have impact on the disc itself. |

Benagro:Did you change your belt recently? |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Benagro: 7:40am On May 25, 2025 |
vivalavida:Yes, in fact it was fixed wrongly(too tight) so it cut and since then the noise has increased after fixing again |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by vivalavida(m): 7:51am On May 25, 2025 |
Benagro:Check if the correct belt size was used. I suffered this thing last two weeks on my car. My mechanic fixed a wrong belt size and I didn't know. My bearings started making embarrassing noises. It became so noisy shame dey catch me tonput on the car at home. I bought 2 more belts of same size and the noise won't go away. He said it was the rollers. I told my colleagues and they said na wrong belt size. I went to my former mechanic and he got my main belt and the noise stopped. My car uses 6pk1753 belt size and the former mechanic was putting 6pk1791. Until I got the right belt size, that's when the noise stopped. |

There’s this jerk when my car shifts gear, sometimes multiple jerks when driving. Rpm meter also fluctuates when such occurs. Thought it was fuel line issue so I changed fuel filter & spark plugs. Issue still persists. Ran a scan yesterday and the mechanic says fault is from the gear box though he wasn’t specific and says he doesn’t work gear boxes. I’ve already ordered for the dw1 oil for an oil change but I’m afraid if issue persists afterwards I may begin to consider a gear box replacement. Scary! Anyone experienced this before? The car is a 2016 accord v6 |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Benagro: 12:01pm On May 25, 2025 |
vivalavida:Thanks so much. Exactly, the noise is sometimes embarrassing and just like you said I guess it maybe the belt isn't the correct size, pls how do I know the correct size or number for civic 06 |

Good evening, Seniors. I hail everyone. Please, my Honda Accord 2008 started making a sound like a dragging sound when I'm driving. Even when I'm not applying the Brake, the sound keeps coming like something is dragging under my car. What is the likely issue please? Has anyone encountered this before. I want to have an idea of the issue before I take the car to a mechanic. Thank you Sirs. |
