The rate people work in abroad can't be compared to Nigeria.
White man no go let you rest as your 8 hours work is 8 hours and you must work all through.
For naija people may not even go to work for 1 month and they will still be paid salary.
Also very few people can afford a 70 million naira property in Nigeria.
Na Nigerian work kill the person?

So you are now smarter than meta AI.
Your perspective is totally wrong.
Take corrections incase of next time atleast you learnt something on nairaland today.
In US that N70m is just $46k
In Zimbabwe N900k is over 1.3billion Zimbabwe dollars.

If your elder brother there tells you he's a multi billionaire and he came back and climbing bike up and down, won't you call him a liar? Multi million indeed. N70m is not multi million

Yes and most kids living abroad are scared of coming to Nigeria.
They may just sell off the property at very cheap rate.
Why are they scared?

P.S. I'm excluding those who were born and bred in Nigeria for at least ten years and those who have been frequent visitors even though they were born and bred in the UK.

Quite heartbreaking after purchasing a multimillion naira property in Nigeria worth over 70 million naira and few months later the Nurse dies.
She was based in UK with her kids.
Alot of Nigerians abroad are working very hard to make money and most don't really have time for themselves.
Even the property they are buying in Nigeria, those their abroad kids will never come to Nigeria to live in them.
Take it easy anywhere you are as it is best to sometimes take a break so that you won't be broken.
This is why in this japa journey, individuals have to consider themselves FIRST before anyone else. Two, they should have fewer children.

Lastly, this can happen to anyone including those who left Benue to work in Lagos while building mansions in Gboko and Makurdi.

But the same parents spent thousand of dollars to erect/buy properties in places their offspring won't live and where the investment principle does not make sense (pounds to buy properties which generate naira revenue even when the owners aren't interested in living in Nigeria).

Well, the next ten years will tell everyone if such decisions and many others make much sense.

Exactly. It's important they set their priorities right.
If they know their kids won't come to Nigeria to live it will be better they stay there for life and invest there too.
