He is mocking them because you and I know that a civil servant will never be paid enough to be able to afford a brand new luxury car!

Bitter truth.... APC and Tinubu that caused it. Before a civil servant can buy a tokubo car , now they can't.

Be comfortable with stipends then turn around to blame everyone excluding yourself. Does anyone stop them from having a side hustle?

as a civil servant, (federal, I don't know of states) you are only authorised to engage in agriculture as a side business. What of people who are not privileged to do farm work?. If caught doing any other things apart from farming, you will be prosecuted or dismissed or both. That's Nigeria civil service rule.
guy it's a big lie

There are many federal civil servant into different businesses like real estate n co

Forget this your lie

why should I pay 3.5 millions m for a ram, when I can use 1 million and get myself a cow.

It pays to be wise when money is involved. Even less than 1 millions can even get be a ram. Tssk.

Then civil servants should also see how they can be more productive for themselves.

Having side business can upgrade them too, while demanding better treatment from the government.

Let's not hush certain things not really proper in the society to silence.

The last time I checked, the more advanced a society develops, the lower the number of civil servants.

You can go confirm it.

Don't be comfortable with stipends, the society won't wait for you.
You are very correct

But the Civil Service rules says they cannot do anything else except subsistence agriculture.

The adverts need to be discouraged, it will usher in an era of civil service corruption and stealing of public funds by govt employee will reach a level and a magnitude never seen before.

Civil servants should be allowed to own business, play politics, vote and be voted for , they just need a leave from work to be able to do that. Civil Service should not restrict people from pursuing their other dreams.

What it means is simply for the government and employers to prioritise the welfare of civil servants and employees. No big deal about it. We must learn how to create laughing😃 stream.

It's undercover, they are secretly doing it. I am talking of them being legally allowed by the laws to do so.

The way everyone makes caricature of civil servants these days bring tears to my eyes.

But no wahala. The culture of neglect we are promoting today will tell on the upcoming generations very very soon!

No problem. The so-called "elites" should continue!

Re: This Is Not For Civil Servants: A Mockery Masquerading As Marketing by OctavianAC(m): 12:42pm On May 27, 2025
There is no much difference between civil servants and employees in the private sectors, infact, most high rank civil servants are better than employees in the private sector. If you say, this is not for civil servants, you are indirectly saying that it is not for employees. And all bank managers, Judges, company men, etc. who are employees cannot buy it. That is foolishness.

But those saying its not for civil servants are not making any error. Can civil servants actually afford those? If the answer is no, then why the alarm. Today in Nigeria, people train their children not to become Nkigerian civil servants because of how poor they are renumerated.

We are heading to a terrible route under APC
It is APC that told those mockers to not exercise decency and common sense? We Nigerians are the ones acting wickedly against each other but you will be busy blaming a political party while people get away with price gourging, hoarding and sale of fake and substandard products.

I am a civil servant....

Let's assume you're coming to my ministry for an urgent service and I am not on my desk, probably out there for a side hustle.... will you rate me high?

The work done as a civil servant is underrated and mostly talked down on...

Buhari said we should go into farming.... but where can I rent a suitable land for cultivation without herdsmen attacks?

Be talking rubbish. Don't settle for stipend, society won't wait for you. Rubbish talk. Some Civil servants can comfortably bankroll your life if you don't know.

But in the real sense, he isn't mocking the Civil Servants but saying the truth, the obvious truth. That price he quotes is beyond the reach of the civil servants except those who are holding briefs for the politicians.
2. His target market is not the civil servants. He has a group he's aiming at where just 10 of them can cover the purchasing power of the entire state civil servants combined.
