Not Supporting APC Doesn’t Make Me Any Less Yoruba — Mr Macaroni by Maxymilliano(op): 2:31pm On May 27, 2025
Nigerian comedian and actor, Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has said his refusal to support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) does not diminish his Yoruba identity.

In a post shared on his X account on Tuesday, the skit maker reaffirmed his pride in his Yoruba heritage and dismissed claims that questioned his ethnic identity due to his political views.

He stated that his ancestry is authentic and traceable, stressing that Yoruba culture should never be tied to any political party.

Mr Macaroni argued that the Yoruba people existed long before the emergence of any political party in Nigeria and would continue to thrive beyond partisan politics.

He encouraged people to support any political party of their choice but insisted that doing so should not be used as a measure of anyone’s cultural authenticity.

He tweeted, “Finally, I AM A PROUD YORUBA BOY!!!

My ancestry is solid and traceable!!! Something most of you masquerading as Yoruba cannot say!

The shame is on those of you who have decided to politicize the Yoruba culture! The Yoruba heritage will never be enslaved to politics because before APC or any other political party in Nigeria, Yoruba has been and will continue to be even after!

So please feel free to support APC or any other political party of your choice but do not tell me I am not Yoruba enough because I don’t support APC.

APC IS NOT YORUBA AND YORUBA IS NOT APC!!! END OF DISCUSSION!”

Yoruba man is the president yet asides the appointees themselves and their families every other yoruba man is going through what every other citizen of this country is going through. Same goes with any other leader from any other tribe

It's only during elections they will come and remind them that they must support omoluabi or they are bastarrds. What have they or will they gain from the person after election, NOTHING!!! Asides the regular he is omo yoruba boasting on top of empty stomach.

It is clear stupidity to support any candidate that you are not sure will better your life through his policies.

But what do i know, If stupidity is an exportable natural resources, Nigeria will be the highest exporter

Macaroni, go and read the story of Victor Banjo. Your eyes go soon open.

No one is saying you must support APC or Tinubu but don't allow the outsider to use you to attack Yorubaland.

You can be in any party and still be representing the Omoluabi.

Not a must to support APC or Tinubu.
I keep telling you give me the ronu card that help you purchase gas, groceries cheaper than igbos. Because when someone criticisms the govt they keep calling us igbo.
Countless times I've been calling igbos because I choose to be on the side of righteousness. Ordinary yoribas are suffering but you madridguy expect me to keep quiet and not talk just because the president is from my tribe.

This is the kind of 'Emilokan' tribál and ethnîc bîgótry , a brand of bitter politics that Tinubu has brought.

According to the so-called 'Ronus', any Yoruba individual who does not support Tinubu and the APC is deemed not truly Yoruba.

In their view, Yoruba identity necessitates unwavering support for Tinubu and the APC, despite the fact that this administration has arguably become one of the worst in the history of the country.

Honestly, after the Tinubu regime, the 'Ronus' will need serious de-radicalization to be able to think normally, like a sane human being should.

He will understand better. He joined the army of people who wanted to send Oba of Lagos away and bring their own people from their region.

Atleast we seen people like Macoroni few weeks ago crying and regretting on how they use ELLU P 35 to voted for someone from another region to the Fed. House of Rep around Etti-Osa constituency, Lagos State?

Why didn't Ellu P people from Abia state used anger voted for Adama from Kwara or Olawale from Ijebu ode to represent them in Abuja.

Ogbuefi stop hiding your identity and come out straight. For over 100 years in history of Nigeria, tell me exact time the Yorubas has ever depend on your region for anything?

We don't come to your land for employment, medical tourism, for greener pasture, or protection in time of crisis or anything but reverse has always be the case.

Allow me to correct my fellow Yoruba brother Macaroni.

1st the video of Oba being sacked is still there, of course in your tribalistic senses the mob don't look like yorubas and they didn't speak yoruba.

2nd the solution for voting competent people should be widespread manifesto and visionary presentations for candidates. Where everyone knows who exactly they are voting for, for any position and why

3rd, despite the Ellu pee voting, only yorubas were still voted into those positions. So why as a yoruba a man, are you complaining? So how did LP vote for someone who is not yorubahuh?

As long as Nigerians pay taxes and contribute to the development of wherever they are, they should be free to elect their leaders in a clearly free and fair election

So what's your point again aside being a known tribalist here on NL?

You see your life. Tell me how did you feel as a Yoruba seeing your people in Lagos beaten with cane just because they were queued up for ordinary bread that's not even up to 500 naira. I was embarrassed.

If that did not touch you, only glGod knows what politics has done to your heart.

The number one should be some people in Aba or Owweeri who held a meeting on how they want to come and take over Lagos.

Over 500k PVC were transferred from the SE region to Lagos and people like Macaroni see nothing wrong about it.

If you are a Yoruba either APC, PDP, LP,ZLP or any party, any party that is bringing people from other region to represent you in your region run away from them. The was the trick from Azikwe and thank God Awolowo was smart enough to decode his plan.

To every Yoruba sons and daughters, it is your duty and civic responsibilities to protect Lagos state from them. They will tell you Lagos is smelling to make you think its valueless, na lie, Lagos has been in their eyes since the days of our forefathers.

They will do anything, I mean everything, to demarket Lagos State but go within their circle they are praying and fasting to capture the state.

Eko O ni Baje oooo.

Lol they held a meeting in your ronu whatsapp group abi? They want to take over Lagos with pump actions, IEDs etc or by voting a yoruba man who you don't like, if not for stupidity, how will a grown up adult be yarning this kind of rubbish

As usual, you will keep swinging from one angle to the other and shifting posts, you can't even tackle the topic of oba and ellup voting a yoruba man. A topic you scratched off your arse ooo

So who did LP bring from somewhere else to represent lagosians? I am interested to know if LP fielded any igbo man for a seat in lagoshuh

500k pvc transferred to Lagos, evidence please aside your ronu whatsapp group

To me, the owners of any state are those who have established themselves in that state, legally acquired properties and contributing meaningfully to the progress of that state.

If it is not shamelessness, how will destitutes under oshodi bridge or people who can't even afford a self con in lagos be shouting "our lagos" same people who 90% of their daily activities deface the state
Re: Not Supporting APC Doesn’t Make Me Any Less Yoruba — Mr Macaroni by madridguy(m): 3:11pm On May 27, 2025
I challenge you to name any single Yoruba man in Obi cabinet during his tenure as Anambra State governor.

Under Tinubu governor I am sure of a Igbo man if not more than that.

The videos of my claims are everywhere and even INEC confirmed it.

If you like cry from now till eternity.. Chinedu Rhodes Vivour won't govern Lagos.
Nobody is politicizing Yoruba culture.. what we are saying is NO to external influence in Yoruba politics.

The Igbos I like so much have this protectionist sense for what is theirs.. it's only Yorubas that are carefree about sensitive matters such as politics and leadership.

Yorubas follow those who think in Yoruba, not those who are IPOBs at heart.

Ogbeni sharrap there
Destitutes cannot afford a roof over their head. So why should someone whose funds are complete and is not a criminal be denied an apartment? Guy are you not really ashamed that in 2025 this is what your brains can produce?
So landlords should give agberos and hooligans their houses free of charge because they are yorubas, while someone from another tribe who is ready to pay the rental is denied.

Your shamelessness dey shame me

Still produce evidence of the illegal pvc transfer or just sharrap

You can never win the conservatism vs progressives battle, NEVER! You’ll only end up dividing people along religious and ideological lines. This is something many white conservatives in America never understood for a long time.

The more you attack Igbos and try to paint them as the villains every time your brothers do something you don’t like, the more you delude yourself further away from reality

Oohhh you know Igbos pay through their noses before selling their wares. At least the fact they pay it respectfully and without fighting and yet people like you can't stop hating on them shows how dilapidated your mentality is

And let me correct you small, the person collecting matching ground, or ground rent can never be richer than the person paying it. For every 1 naira they pay to agbero, they add that 1 naira to the cost of goods, sell it to the same agbero and make even more profits

If not shamelessness how can you be comparing hardworking people to agberos

Meanwhile, when I mean agberos, I mean agberos, if you feel like it's an attack on your tribe then you need to get your brains checked
