I am very impressed with the degree of progress made on this rail project and so many other projects across the Lagos metropolis. One thing I like about Babajide Sanwoolu's administration is that once they commence a project, you will see consistent progress until it finishes. You rarely see a contractor abandon site for months unlike the previous governments. Kudos to them. |

GboyegaD:All the while it was stalled by different funding conflicts and issues. But since all the issues have been resolved under this current administration, there has been consistent progress. 16 years or not, it is worth celebrating when you compare it to similar projects across the country like Rivers and Akwa Ibom that have been abandoned. |

Reptyle:Why do we like to glorify failure? How do you tell me P8 is better than F9? Aren't they both below credit? This current administration has been there since 2019 which is at least six years in another two days. As at 2019, the Orile to Marina route was almost completed way back as 2017. So what has this administration really done differently? We cannot be asking for better governance and celebrating mediocrity. We either want to experience growth and development or we do not. |

F117nighthawk: busy body, I can feel your pain….how well is your state fairing? If you care to share the citizen also have the right to acknowledge their effort and commend them when they are also doing good.Lagos is still the most developed and most progressive state in the country, and this is due to progressive leadership and a vision to transform the state into a modern mega city after years of neglect since the capital was moved to Abuja in 1991. Lagos metro rail developed by a sub national govt which some countries in Africa can’t even boast of and you think that’s a feat any country or state without visionary leadership can achieve? And if you not blinded by hate, you can see in my post I also acknowledge the fact that there is still need for more to be done? There are oil rich states that can also prioritise the the development of there states but are not performing, but we have a state that has been consistent in the development of its state and people and here you are trying to play down there achievements because of hate ![]() |

As I have often written, no manner of bile will prevent the projects from being completed, neither will it prevent the people from benefiting from it. I know what was written about the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge when it was under construction and I know how I am benefiting from it now. Bad belle won't stop that. Anything else is a waste of time. I can't wait till they begin the Yellow Line. |

GboyegaD:You are entitled to your opinion as I am to mine. I choose to celebrate what this administration has done by completing the blue line and building the red line from scratch to where it is now in operation. We can ask for more while celebrating what they have achieved. |

Reptyle:Keep asking then. Never knew they were doing us a favor when we voted them into office. |

Sibrah:I will accept it is propaganda if the information is misleading. Is it true the Lagos State Government is building the Blue Line rail? Yes or No |

is this still on for 2026 completion? construction seems to have stalled and garbage has taken over the final few corridors of this line as at March 2026. The market has literally consumed the railroads - Alaba rago axis |
