sagitariusbaby:The real parasite is the federal govt that is stealing the resources of states by not allowing them full control of their God given resources only preferring to give them a meagre 13%. |

Betgold84:Seriously we are rich but mismanagement. This Q1 results show this administration has pushed the State to be proactive. If tax reform Bill is finally passed them with time States can independently finance Thier budgets without FAAC or unnecessary debts. Imagine Oyo with 70+B in 3 months |

AustineE1:We have the pictures, history and many more of Lagos for at least 50yrs before Nigeria ever came to existence. Nigeria, thru her colonial masters, beneficially selected Lagos as her capital because Lagos already had all what it takes to be a capital city, even ahead of some capital cities in Asia and South America. I'm sure many cities in your region today were just farmlands, hunting forest or waste lands as of 1850 when Lagos was already a blooming port-city, transacting with the likes of Liverpool City port etc. |

Why is Ogun state so poor? I suspect a lot of VAT that should be credited to it has been wrongfully credited to Lagos. Imagine Oyo state sum is about 10 times larger than Ogun state |

olaolaking:Why will states in the south east even pay vats to the federal govt when major critical infrastructures like standard railways and international airports is denied the region when loans for such projects is collected by the federal govt? Let the south east use the vats to develop themselves instead of paying it to the biased federal govt and let the states that benefits massively from the billion dollars infrastructural loans pay the vats without any grudges. |

AustineE1:The new deep sea port in Lagos is by Lagos State government and private investors partnership. You people give these governors of your states too much lax and space to be lazy and corrupt. Your state governor can put up a port and promote a port, they have the capacity to do so, but they are interested in looting your money and spending money on politicking...but you people encourage their laziness...today power devolution have been passed into law, how many states are sourcing for investment for their power/electricity sector? Every state for itself, look inward, focus on your governors and representatives. |
