Mr Ramaphosa really handled this well. I aspire to have his level of calmness during tense situations like this. One wrong word or mistake in his speech and the likes of CNN would spam propaganda portraying S.A as anti-white. And the opposition party Minister of Agriculture did well to back him up without looking at differences in race or political affiliations.

Ramaphosa did not handle this well. There's a time and a place to be calm, this wasn't it.

You have to push back on the lies and delusions of others, else those lies and delusions become fact. What Ramaphosa needed in his team was someone like Femi Fani Kayode, a clear and articulate mind to push back on the claims of the Orange man.

Ramaphosa has been humiliated beyond reasonable doubt.

Trump was well prepared for him, and he wasn't prepared for this meeting. He should have sent his foreign minister instead.

The answers from Rupert and the Agriculture minister were not convincing enough. They did try to save face, but they needed to be more articulate with their responses.

Infact Rupert was begging for American help, I mean you negotiate a better agreement, not beg the person accusing you of genocide.

The whole thing was not well handled and your President should have traveled with a better team.

I mean the claims of farmer genocide are absolute nonsense, but Right wingers have now perfected the art of spreading misinformation and Ramaphosa was ill prepared.
The Boer Right-Wingers are well funded, they have been doing heavy lobbying in Washington, D.C for years, probably bringing in gift in a brown envelope. During Trump's first term, they even managed to convince him to attack South Africa and thanks to Pentagon's generals who ignored him when he brought it to the table.

Secondly, we have an issue of Israel lobbying Trump against South Africa as a scare tactic against the upcoming Gaza warcrimes case.

So Ramaphosa's was going into a set trap, with Trump and Elon ready to attack.. and trust me, under those conditions he did very well, and yes "begging" is also a tactic, you can't make Trump feel insecure in his House, you won't get away with it, he had a whole crew ready to jump in to save his ignorance... On the other side, right-wingers in SA are mad at the minister of Agriculture because they thought he was going to repeat the "white genocide" narrative. They were hoping and praying for a Zelenskyy moment so they could laugh their evil hearts off.

As for the team, I believe it was a great team, bringing in golfers was a wise move, Trump loves it, it's a tactic the Right-Wingers didn't see coming.

I agree completely. The performance by the South African president was abysmal.

He looked like a school boy begging for provisions from his master.

Following the induction of the M346FA , the Nigerian Air Force will gradually retire the L-39 and Alpha Jets that have served us for 40 + years.

Notably missing from this year's celebration is the Alpha Jet.

What's wrong with the @NA when it comes with acquisition of hardwares and acquiring good numbers ? Apart from the CS/VP3 MRAP, most hardware they've bought are always of little quantity.
Have always think ther is something wrong with @NA leadership?

This has been a reoccurring theme, nobody knows what going on with them.

MRAPs alone are not going to defeat the threats we face. Infact an MRAP is just a taxi, it's not even an offensive weapon.

The Helos are currently grounded due to maintenance issues as a result of the War in Ukraine.

But I think the Air Force is trying to do something about it.
