Miami police officer fires on a driver outside of a music festival near Bayfront Park in Miami, Florida.

According police, an officer was directing traffic when a man driving a car made contact with him.

According to CBS News, both the officer and the driver were sent to the hospital.

The driver, 21-year-old Menelek Clarke, underwent surgery. He was in critical but stable condition, as reported by NBC Miami.

“My brother does not have a weapon on him. There’s no weapons, nothing,” the sister of Clarke said.

“He wasn't carrying anything. When he got out of the car … he was in shock because he just got shot.”

The incident is still under investigation.

While I agree that racism and negative profiling exists in the U.S, with such outcomes of excessive force displayed against Blacks by Police officers, yet I can't help but thinking aloud...

I mean... There are several other racial minorities in that country who go out daily and meet Policemen too.

Take that video above for instance... Would the Police officer have produced his firearm and fired if he didn't feel threatened by the action of the man?!!

Yes, there have been excessive force and unprovoked shootings, but in most cases one of the following is observed:

1. The Negro is abusive, resistant, defiant, and headstrong.

2. They are uncooperative and unyielding

The Police should do better... And be trained to be more culturally and racially sensitive.

However, Black people should start talking to themselves especially their sons.

American police are 100 times more trigger happy than Nigeria police. Some of the things you see on video we try here with Nigerian police you can't try that with an American cop especially the white cops without risking getting shot.

This is the country that some people are dying to relocate to

Calm down, a female police officer in the U.S shot and killed a boy in the US about 3 years ago, the boy was not armed neither did the boy threathen her, she was arrested and jailed and in the final court hearing she asked for forgiveness from the boy's family...
