It’s a scary thing to find out though. Their parents back in the day would’ve known this based on their research before marriage, but these days they say love…

The question there is, was it due to drug usage (controllable) or something unknown that could be from DNA (wahala dey)? Because then it makes you start thinking about your children

Does this love pay the medical and psychiatric bills, or provide comfort when you know you cursed your own child with illness by your desires? If the man loved her, why did he hide his mental health past from her? undecided
So to you she is a saint abi? Can you be so sure that she didnt hide so things too from her husband? Many women messed themselves up when they her very young. Some even aborted several times which later affected their conception when they settled down. Did they tell their husband their dirty past?

What has this sainthood to do with marriage, an agreement between two human beings? huh

2. She may have hidden something herself, but she is choosing to abandon the man for what he has instead hidden. There is no law against that. undecided

3. Nonsense! A person's dirty past is that person's private business. And your delusions regarding the way they chose to live their lives before marriage are yours, a personal delusion. undecided

4. The topic issue here is a serious issue that could potentially impact the kids in the marriage. Stop trying to derail with what are private delusions. undecided

. Mental health problems are not always due to a drug issue. Even when it is, it is still not something one can easily consider a done and dusted past, as there is the possibility of relapse or passing it on to one's kids. undecided

Looks like points 2 and 3 are contradictory! If a dirty past is private business, why be upset or abandon the guy for doing what point 3 says? Could it be that it is not private business after all and couples should be open about their past especially if it has serious life and health implications?

She can leave, someone, probably better than her will marry him. Sometimes some people just think they are above certain challenges. What will be her reason for quitting especially if the guy is ok and caring?
