A notorious Enugu native doctor, High Chief Levi Onyeka Obu, popularly known as “Ezeani” and “E-Dey-Play-E-Dey-Show,” has been apprehended by the Nigerian Immigration Service while attempting to escape the country through a land border.

The suspect, who had been on the run, was declared wanted after law enforcement discovered multiple bodies buried in his residence at Unojo, Umumba Ndi-Agu in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State. Among the victims was a heavily pregnant woman, tragically murdered in what officials believe to be a ritual killing.

Authorities also rescued a 13-year-old girl alive during the grim discovery, further implicating the native doctor in a series of kidnapping and ritual murder cases that have shocked the local community and the nation.

Sources confirm that Obu was intercepted before he could cross the border, ending his bid to evade justice. A viral photo of the suspect in handcuffs has surfaced online, confirming his arrest and bringing some relief to the affected families.

Ongoing Investigation

Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the full extent of Obu’s criminal network, with additional arrests expected as they uncover more details about the ritual syndicate operating in Enugu State.

The case has reignited calls for stricter regulations around traditional practices and increased surveillance on local healers and native doctors whose activities remain unchecked in rural communities.
