samuelson06:Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara who never campaigned or voted for Tinubu in 2023 in the name of Muslim/Muslim ticket has been appointed to head a new agency with a 100 b Billion Naira take off capital. Stay online and insult those who are not supporting who you are supporting, overtaking is easy in politics. Congratulations to Dogara! |

This was the same reason government gave when they set up NIRSAL. So what happens now. Will the 2 Agencies coexist side by side or will NIRSAL be scrapped. NB: The NIRSAL iam referring to is not the NIRSAL Microfinance Bank Ltd but NIRSAL- Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending. |

Brendaniel:Do you know why most banks are adopting the holding company model? The entity guaranteeing a loan must be separate from the lending institution, so if they choose to use BOI, they would have to give up their ability to provide direct loans. |

Appletek:You have not still answered my question, if the government still has a hand in its funding why then create a body to handle such when BOI could have been modified by law or policy to include the function of what this one wants to achieve, the government claims no money but yet creating a new body that will have directors, down to cleaners.... Look at the way you people reason, a simple function that could have been added to BOI or even any other government funding business agency is what Tinubu is creating a fresh agency for... |

Brendaniel:Using your illustration as bolded above, House with A/C has plans made for it; it space, location and electric circuit (15 Amps capacity which is usually higher than the requirement for other equipment in the house.) "The old house will be a disaster as it wasn't engineered to house the A/C, A new house will have plan for that" Now translate this back to your argument. |

Brendaniel:How else can I put it—this kind of entity must be standalone; it simply can't function within an existing organization. It’s like a bank insuring its offices, but the insurer is just another department within the same bank—conflicts of interest are bound to arise. While I typically advocate for a leaner government, this is one case where I don’t. What’s being proposed reflects global best practice. |

Hmmm, this type of bank can only work papers Brendaniel:if government is serious to tackle macro, small and medium scale businesses throughout the country, first it will establish it's office in all the local government of the federation for easy access. Outside that is just a jamboree as usual. |

Please as good as the proposal is, my question is how to access the funds without having it's presence in all the local government areas of the country. lionshare:if not it will turn to all promises cancelled (APC) |
| Re: Tinubu Establishes Credit Guarantee Company With N100 Billion Initial Capital by lionshare: 12:51pm On May 30, 2025 |
kelechi50:You're right to be cautiously optimistic. While the guarantee company won’t deal directly with individuals, its full implementation will incentivize banks, microfinance institutions, and other lenders to offer more loans at better rates. |
