Is there a functional local governement system in Abia state, that's my yardstick of a good state government, any media lies is irrelevant to me |

We tell this people that beyond rehabilitated township roads and PH road, AO is doing nothing else in Abia and they think it's a joke. How people even get deceived by viewing the same pictures of one project taken from different dimensions is a 21st century wonder. Otti is doing nothing in education, health, agriculture, transportation, job creation, youth empowerment, industrialization, ICT, even women empowerment. If you're going to argue about this, show results. Show proofs. Don't tell us what he said or he is going to do. Show the one he's doing currently or has done. |

Lanruze:And in ten years, all those schools are going to be wretched, because you guys won't pay the fees or taxes needed to keep them running. Same story in all states of Nigeria |

Mischievous yellow journalism... Was the amount allegedly budgeted earmarked exclusively for the referenced school? |

This is reportedly the only primary school serving an entire community. Half of the year is almost gone and the school is still in ruins. So what is going on with the budget and that AbiaFIRST intervention? Drop the fancy acronyms and get to work!Weird how some posters are attacking the whistleblower. The Abia government should get to work and fix the damn school, no ifs, no buts. They will all be held accountable. |

Lanruze:Ave seen it so many times Nice school built...then no funds for upkeep, and usually 'corruption' is blamed while the real reason stares us in the face. Meanwhile the private schools run by the rich for the rich all look good. |

Front0lane:Whether Tinubu or not, a budget is a mere financial plan. The only problem I have with these executives is that they don't tell us the success rate of budget execution before presenting another budget. That has always been the stance of this moniker. It has nothing to do with Escobar and his! Online minions. |

It is not easy to maintain school infrastructure o. This is why private schools charge a lot of money as tuition fees. Students will damage furniture, windows and toilet seat and sinks. Public schools should be made to charge at least 5000 naira per student as infrastructure maintenance fees every term. Public schools have lots of students and pupils, so the money should be enough e g 5k x 700 pupils ( primary schools ) or 5k x 3000 students ( secondary schools ) . Cheers. |

Putindbutt:Dude, care to tell us why the mere mention of word billionaire in relation to anyone Igbo gets your kind agitated and most times even furious!? I saw that thread the other day….didn’t even bother to click on it because i noted how the thread title was crafted and deduced the kind of monikers that would fall over themselves to make a comment! Apparently, you’re still on it! |

Sahara reports Sowere! This is the village of Minister Nkiru Onyejiocha minister of labour. She has been in the house of Rep for 20 years. Billions of Naira for constituency projects where are they? In two years Otti will fix everything in Abia but Tinibu needs time and needs to borrow half of Nigerian's entire debts since 1960 before he works. APC and Yuroba people I salute! |

crestedaguiyi:There is, but for them to pay for repairs and upgrade to good standard would probably cost them the earth. That is even before corruption. Most LG Money goes to paying salaries and wages, and maybe something for the boys..lol. (Modified: Lagos LGA generated on average 229 million naira . That is from Lagos, the 'richest' state. I betcha Abia would be lower than that, and to fix that school properly, not just paint it and put roof and run off would cost at least 100 million.) The only way schools can get renovated is if everyone in the LG either pays LG council tax OR pays higher fees for the school. Since that would attract protests, we have to wait for the local rich guy to pay for renovations. Sad thing exists in every LG in Nigeria. At the end, revenue from less than 2 m barrels of oil a day is not sufficent for even 10 million people self. |
