Buy a gift that will help his learner process, tolls or something that will help shape the career path you want your child to choose later in life.

Everything is wrong with this post. You can't shape what you don't know or haven't studied enough. What is the boy's personality? What are his likes and dislikes? What are his strengths and weaknesses. I bet you and the op don't know. He should spend his time learning and getting to understand his son. At age 1? There's nothing to shape. He's only a baby. Nothing concern him with career o. If there's a need to build anything, then the father should invest his money on his career and become a better father to his son.

IPad for a 1 year old? So tge brain will start to rot early abi? Na waa. Pls Google the dangers of giving technology early to children and avoid it.

Please buy sensory toys for your one year old. One that will stimulate his senses, promote movement and help him develop well. Even if its just a colourful ball, it's OK.
