The Defence Headquarters has strongly criticised a recent report by Amnesty International, describing it as lacking contextual depth and failing to acknowledge the significant achievements of the Nigerian Armed Forces in combating insecurity across the country.https://punchng.com/amnesty-international-report-lacks-depth-misleading-dhq/

A foreign group that sit in their office without being in the field with the military who are facing the war, wants me to believe their c0ck and bull stories over the credible figures of our gallant military. But watch and see how some unpatriotic elements asslick amnesty international, these elements would quickly condemn amnesty international when they release figures and condemn the genocide of Isreal war crimes in Gaza. But will believe amnesty international against their own country, talking about white slaves mentality. God bless the Nigerian Military, God bless Nigeria. |

The mission of this group in Africa is not clear yet, they hardly condem terrorists attacks , even speak more for terrorists rights when military go hard on them. |

Very informative rebuttal by the DHQ. The army has indeed made a lot of strides in combating terrorism, no doubt. But the Amnesty report is not entirely false too. The numbers killed are too high, regardless figures, for a functioning democracy as we are supposed to believe Nigeria is. The Army faces the daunting task of cleaning the Augean stable of terrorism in Nigeria, but it is up to the will of the political class to see it to an expeditious end soon. |

A foreign group that sit in their office without being in the field with the military who are facing the war, wants me to believe their c0ck and bull stories over the credible figures of our gallant military. Hmm you mean the NGOs on the field don't know what's happening? Or don't report truth. So u believe the number of deaths as reported by the military about Benue? |

When you see a reaction like this, know in the heart of your hearts that amnesty report doesn't favour them. They are still struggling with insecurity with in-depth knowledge while they said, Amnesty report lacks depth. |

But it was still in this forum even in other credible news sources in this country that we read that about 300 people or so were massacred in a single day in plateau alone. I think that was early this month or sometime last month. So going by that news,if 300 people were murdered in a single day and hundreds were displaced, and the killings are still being reported in Benue and Plateau even up till now, then the figures given by amnesty int'l may not be far from the truth. While the efforts of our security agencies in combating the menace of terrorism and banditry are highly appreciated, that doesn't negate the fact that large scale killings are not still being reported in places like Benue and Plateau expecially till today. So to me,the report of the amnesty int'l maybe true and the report of the DHQ maybe true also. So,both of them are correct. Shikina!!! |

Very detailed report by Amnesty International showing that they did a comprehensive investigation on the subject before reporting unlike the DHQ that is just defending the indefensible. |

Amnesty Nigeria is fake. They are not rhe same as Amnesty International which is a respectable organization world wide. The Amnesty here are more of a political paid town crieres. There only objective is to influence political power to their own advantage. |

Putindbutt:It's quite simple. The group is used as a conduit pipe to channel finance and weapons to terrorists and bandits with the sole purpose of destabilizing the country so they could clandestinely run illegal mining operations of rare earth minerals in Nigeria. |

If you continue to focus on what western institutions think it will be difficult to achieve your goals Russia or China or India doesn't care what Amnesty reports say when Pakistani terrorists crossed the border recently and killed Indian tourists India didn't waste time to blast them inside Pakistan |

zero8zero:But you will believe the same foreign body if they report that the government is doing wonderfully well even when they are not on ground to experience it. To show how shallow, ignorant and biased you are, all these foreign bodies may not necessarily be on ground to get their facts. Same way you do not expect the president to be in everywhere to get information of things happening in his country and even in the diaspora. So, stop disgracing yourself trying to make the report look untrue just because you want to defend the government that do not care about u. |

Until Gen. Markus' family members are slayed by these Bandits, his body go tell am Its only APC and Northern Terrorist sponsors that tries to defend the Nigerian Army, The Nigerian Army is a colossal failure! Why is it that when a community summons courage to fight back this same Army that refused to defend the people suddenly comes around to arrest the locals? Nigerian Army is controlled by Fulani Terrorist sponsors and their agreement with PBAT is just to look away and do nothing Same reason someone like Peter Obi will not be supported by the North, these guys always look for a compromised human that will allow them continue terrorizing the South Nigeria is ruled by Terrorists! |
