U spoke well but I would advice him to avoid civil servant especially in this present economy.
trust me, even with the economy, civil servants will still recieve salary unlike others that may loose their jobs.

Thought their salary is small but you are sure they will be paying something every month

A guy here advised civil servants, I think thats my direction..have been doing a lot of research lately, so it's not as bad as we think.

It's also a good business folks, Someone loaned 2M, used his Mercedes as collateral and submitted a deed for absolute sale. Not really bad folks, just have a remediation process.

Would be trying out this civil servants next week, thanks to to you mate ....

Money lending is very high risk business in Nigeria, and only the heartless money lenders make it.

But if you must venture. Ensure you secure a LENDING LICENSE.

Dogalmighty17:
Before you start, take a visit to the nearest LAPO office in your area. You will see more than enough to dissuade you. This is not the time to enter lending business
OP: This right here from Dogalmighty17 is the best advice offered so far.

Let me also suggest an easy out for you:

1. Fix your N10m for 2 years with RenMoney via their RenVault option.

2. You will immediately get about N4m which you can use to sort yourself while THOUGHTFULLY looking for any genuine business you can later go into.

If you need a RenMoney contact, I can link you up.

Wishing you all the best!

I have been into lending for the past 13yrs.

U will never regret it one bit.

I started with my saved allawee and some change I was able to save during my university yrs that is about 300k then. That amount has grossed more than 200million naira.

Lend with sense and don't bring up emotion.

When u start doing well, pls buy land, shops and resell for profit.

That is pure diversification. Set aside some money for security of ur home or family up keep.

Good luck and we can link up if u want additional advice.

Lending business is not advisable, worst is to arrest the defaulters if they do.
Why not think of other stuff like planting cash crops, importation, exportation , foodstuffs business from north to Lagos?

Those advising OP against it don't know anything, he knows exactly what he wanna venture into. He's fully prepared to lock people's destiny inside bottle.

Once you make the mistake of borrowing money from a Nigerian money lender just know you're gradually nearing your grave. You can hardly pay back even if you have the mind to, almost all of them are into diabolic practice......Their interest nor dey ever finish, you'll continue paying even from your grave.
Re: Going Into Lending Business- Wish Me Well. by Berankis: 2:33pm On May 31, 2025
Don't use the entire money for only the lending business. Out half of it into selling Food items in cartons i.e. indomie, spaghetti, tin tomato and even bread making. These are daily needs and you just need a good location and it's guaranteed you will do well. You also need to make a good deal with a producing company or bigger distributors, so that you are better positioned price-wise.
Where lending is tough is payback processes. There will be defaulters for sure, what measures have you in place to secure your funds by ensuring prompt recovery of loans?
