Lost woefully? That’s putting it politely. Go dig up what really happened when the Biafran military faced off against Nigeria’s vaunted 2nd Division—composed largely of Yoruba soldiers. This wasn’t just a military engagement; it was a masterclass in strategic annihilation.

From the first disastrous attempt to storm through Asaba—where bodies littered the riverbanks like broken promises—to the humiliating second push through Kogi, every advance was met with calculated fury. And then came Abagana—the graveyard. The third and final insult. The entire division was obliterated in a firestorm of ambush brilliance. Trucks, tanks, men—scorched into oblivion.

The General Officer Commanding? He didn’t just retreat—he vanished. Emergency exit. He never returned to the front. The war would end, but the shame of that collapse would live on in whispers and nightmares.

Call it bullying in excellence. Call it asymmetric genius. Just don’t ever call it a fair fight. Biafra didn’t just resist—they humiliated the 2nd Division
Did not read.

Your Ojukwu and all the Biafra war criminals died as Nigerians

You lost .

Get over it .

But if you want a rematch then just say so.

There's nothing wrong with that. Afterall, Oduduwa Republic agitators waved flags of Oduduwa Republic on the grounds of London's Chatham House while Bola Tinubu was speaking inside the house.
Nigeria was born from an existing country. So there is nothing wrong in clamouring for a new country from a mother country.

Personally, I believe Tinubu deliberately send this man (El Rufai) to bring the opponent together and ensure that they fail woefully. It is a game plan and it's really working so far. El Rufai is doing well in his assignment

Defeated by who? Get serious. Before you start parroting the victors’ narrative, go find the book “The Last Flight.” Read it—not skim it—and you’ll understand why Biafra surrendered. It wasn’t defeat. It was mercy. It was restraint. Biafra laid down arms to stop the systematic starvation of its women and children, not because they were conquered, but because they chose humanity over prolonged slaughter.

Still in doubt? Then read what the Biafran military did to the Nigerian army in Owerri, 1969. That wasn’t war anymore—that was a meticulously engineered massacre. The Nigerian military’s Operation OAU came in with 33,000 troops and swagger. Less than 1,000 limped away—broken, battered, and traumatized.

Owerri didn’t fall. It consumed. It devoured. It turned battalions into carcasses and generals into ghosts. It was no longer a battlefield—it was a slow, grinding, meat-mangling furnace, and Biafran soldiers were its fire.

So no, Biafra wasn’t defeated. Biafra surrendered to stop the dying of children, while its enemies were still bleeding out from a war they thought they had already won. There’s a difference.

DIARY OF ELECTORAL MALPRACTICES IN NIGERIA....

in 1999 Nigeria returned to Democracy after 16 straight years of military dictatorship...
PDP got 21 govs...
APP got 9 govs ...
AD got 6 govs...
At this stage Amaechi was in PDP, El Rufai was in PDP, Atiku was in PDP....
No complain of Rigging...

2003...
PDP collected 28 govs.
ANPP got 7 govs..
AD got 1 gov..
Obasanjo called this election do or die..
and he was Ruthless....
Atiku confessed that he personally seized 5 South West States from AD and left Lagos for strategic reason...
Then it favored Atiku ... so he doesn't mind manipulating INEC to seized states for PDP...
Amaechi was in PDP... he didn't condemned the rigging...
El Rufai was in PDP.... PDP boasted that they will remain in power for 60 yrs..

2007 ...
PDP was more Ruthless again..
Obasanjo in his do or die politics seized NGR for PDP...
Till date nobody can confidently asses the breakdown of the presidential election results...
Prof Iwu announced the results when every stakeholders have left INEC at night..
3 out of 7 supreme court judges nullified the results.. calling it a sad day for NGR Democracy..
Even the Yar Ardua they dashed the results admitted that the election results were manipulated..
PDP had 28 govs...
ANPP got 4...
AC got 2..
PPA got 2...

Appeal Court
returned Anambra to APGA,
Edo to AC...
Ekiti to AC
Osun to AC
Ondo to LP...

All stolen by PDP...
El Rufai was in PDP
Amaechi was in PDP
98% of Wailers in NGR to were in PDP
Atiku was in PDP
Saraki was in PDP...
none of them left the party for Killing democrat with their style of do or die Democracy...

Going to election then was like going to war...
men wearing mask with sophisticated weapons chased us away and stole our polling unit ballot boxes ..
it was the same in most polling units it was like war..

The President of the Appeal Court Justice Salami was sacked because he dare retrieved the state stolen by PDP to their original owner

in those dark days of PDP electoral holocaust... Electoral materials are hijacked and taken to PDP godfather's houses where some able bodied men are recruited to thumbprint balot papers which Compromise INEC staff admit as authentic while real voters are chased home..
in this contests hundreds of lives are wasted by political thugs of PDP...

there was nothing like BVAS... cards are printed for underage voters, figures are cooked up with states like Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Bauchi, Katsina, Kaduna recording over 1.5 to over 2million votes over 18yrs ago if not for electoral reforms this states would have hit over 5million voters each...

Fast forward to today...
no death was recorded in 2023 election..
IREV works, BVAS works..
you can go online and see your polling unit results..
no underage voters as all voters are authenticated...
no multiple thumbprinting in PDP godfather's houses...
no snatching of ballot boxes,
no multiple voting...

only a man who have lost his senses would fail to see the immensed leap in electoral transparency in INEC under APC..

The PDP wailers and their new recruits from the Osibanjo, Amaechi and El Rufai thinks everyone suffers Amnesia like them...

Votes are now counting...
GBAM!
Indeed, you have history in your hands👌.
Well done and Well Said!
Where are the Politicians Footsoldiers On Nairaland Forum o!

It’s still difficult to believe that El-Rufai is now an opposition member. He was almost the face of the Tinubu campaign. People who only recently crossed into Apc are already benefiting from contracts and everything.

He could just have been made chairman of NNPC since the ministerial position did not work out due to security reports about his connection to killings of christians in Kaduna.

Are you talking about the leadership in North?

When some bandits have a say than reasonable number of the Northern leaders hence occupying territories

Gumi is one of the revered leader from North yet he was deported from Saudi Arabia due to link with bandits. Lots of Gumi are revered as leaders in North
Is it at the point Tinubu dumped El Rufai for Ministerial position that he suddenly realized that urban bandits have taken over Nigeria?

The petition against him by southern kaduna lawyers are weighty and Tinubu cannot afford to ignore the genocide.

Take this to the bank — not as an opinion, but as a cold, calculated military fact:
The Nigerian military would have been utterly decimated, and Nigeria as a political construct would have collapsed on the battlefield—if not for the starvation policy.

The so-called “federal victory” was not achieved through tactical brilliance or battlefield superiority. It was achieved by weaponizing hunger, by murdering children through blockade, by starving civilians into submission—a war crime dressed up as strategy.

On the battlefield, Biafran forces were outnumbered but never outclassed. They delivered humiliating defeats to supposedly superior divisions—Abagana, Owerri, Onitsha, Nsukka. These weren’t accidents. They were proof of operational intelligence, adaptability, and raw willpower. Nigeria did not win by force. Nigeria won by starvation.

And here's the real danger:
My greatest fear is not in the past—it’s in the present.
Under the APC regime, with its deliberate incompetence, divisive politics, and the shameless obstruction of the people’s democratic will, Nigeria risks reawakening the ghost of the unfinished civil war.

Because this time, the battlefield will not be limited to Asaba, Owerri, or Abagana. It will be digital, economic, structural—and total. The cracks in the country’s foundation are now seismic. And if pushed hard enough, history will not repeat—it will avenge

Even the so-called Quick Kill Policy they once arrogantly crafted to crush the Biafran resistance—before Biafra taught the Nigerian 3rd marine military division a bitter lesson in humiliation and defeat on the blood-soaked streets of Owerri in the recapture of owerri—has now been discarded like a failed gamble.
Where now is that Biafra? Self-delusionist.

Let’s set the record straight — you are the self-delusionist here.
While you chant unity and wave a bleeding flag, Nigeria is being eaten alive from within — by Boko Haram, bandits, herdsmen, and a ruling elite too compromised to even notice the rot.

even Ukraine — in a full-scale war against a nuclear superpower — hasn’t seen its military barracks wiped out overnight the way Nigeria has.
Nigeria is already collapsing under the weight of its own contradictions.

A coalition based on lies cannot succeed. They've not been able to tell Nigerians what they can do better and support it with records of their own previous performances while in power.
Same set of people with mediocre score cards telling us they have imaginary answers to Nigeria's problems.

I'm not a fan of PBAT but El-Rufai should close his gutter.
He should give us quick answer:
1. Who killed Agwom Adara of Adara kingdom..?
2. Who jailed Adara kingdom elders for voicing out the killing of their king...?
3. Who killed Mailafiya for voicing out that a seating governor in the north was a boko haram commander...?
4. Who ravage Southern Kaduna during his 8 years reign as the emperor of Kaduna...?
5. Who imposed Muslim Muslim ticket in his state and vowed to replicate it at the national level....?
who.....?
who.....?
who.....?
During his 8 years reign of terror in Kaduna state .....?
