MSGAMBLE9:Worthy achievement for Rice. Saliba at different times this season looked pedestrian and indifferent. I particularly didn’t like how he ended the season. He seemed distracted, not sure if it had anything to do with the Madrid rumors. |

If Arteta was the PSG coach, Vitinha and Joao Neves would be warming the bench, because, apparently, midfielders need to be 6ft tall to make the cut.Copied Very correct |

Roland17:Am just saying judging by the defensive record... I mean Arsenal has the best defensive record in CL and not a single defender in starting Xi ( not Timber nor Saliba)

MSGAMBLE9:I get your angu, Timber had a good tournament but neither Saliba nor Timber is displacing any of Bastoni/ Marquinhos/ Hakimi or N. Mendes. All 4 players are terrific choices and considering they all played the finals with 3 keeping a clean sheet, gives them an added advantage. Bastoni had an overall great tournament in comparison to Saliba. This is coming from Saliba's biggest fan. |

daveP:Realisation set in and the eyes are more open. Truth is we haven't been where we wanna be. But they owners love him, cus he's bringing in money and changing how the club is viewed from the past years, they see it as development and want to stick with him. I have no problem with Arteta being replaced with a better option, but since they still think that he's the right man for the job, would would we do. We can spend over 200m this summer without attracting any sections, so I expect they really do what's necessary this time and get him the players that fit the profile and not just any dicck and Tom that he or any other person mentions. |

We had a very stupid domestic run this year, but our ucl run can be taken as a positive (if the hate can allow some of us). This season was a disappointment domestically, but we can take the positives from it, a lot of teams wouldn't have finished second with the amount of injuries and red cards we got(though I can argue that Arteta and his medical team plus psychologist should share the blame for that). |

iamoyindamola:What are your thoughts about Awilo's situation? We just triggered his 12 months extension. Should he spend next season with us or go on another loan? I don't think we are going to get much is we decide to trade him. The few times I saw him, he looked decent for Sevilla and has cleaned up some of his decision making. For me, I think it would depend on what we do with Partey. With Zubi coming, we will have Zubi/Merino/ Partey (if he stays) / Rice as midfielders who can play DM/CM. I am inclined to saying we keep him but knowing Arteta, he may not use him for even Cup games for us to properly evaluate him. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by iamoyindamola(m): 3:11pm On Jun 03, 2025 |
Roland17:Awilo is good for backup as cup players, the type of service elneny rendered those years It's quite unfortunate he can't reach his peak with us, he should just stay as squad than going on loan again |

daveP:This is even UK Prime Minister giving the needed push...if a politicians with busy schedules knows Arsenal problem and saying the failure is enough and can't continue... "So, it is a good core team, so Arteta has done a good job in my view, got us into a really good place, but we have got to kick on from here - I know we did say that last season, but it is the hope that keeps you going and kills you if you are not careful!" - Kier Stammer ![]() https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/13378545/keir-starmer-backs-arsenal-boss-mikel-arteta-but-wants-gunners-to-invest-in-a-striker-this-summer |

germaphobe:The actual truth is lessons are not being learnt. The top realization started in last season ucl vs Bayern. That was the game that everyone last agreed help was needed. Since that ouster, fanbase split became more defined. Then the summer came and then the January window, and it was vivid that someone was unserious. How that suddenly made critics the haters of the club, i dunno. But in that same timeframe, rivals are putting in their work as well and that is the double blow. That's what's making all of this seem to critics that they need to be louder. But as usual, here we are. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 |

iamoyindamola:I saw the list of players we were connected to last summer before they fell apart like this Zubi deal(as usual) The irony is when the critics decide to go quiet, na this section go kon takeover dey complain. Na to just give them time ni😂😂 Hopefully it doesn't come to that. But rivals no dey siddon dey look. |

Since Isak no dey table again and anything fit happen with this Sesko vs Gyokores mata, make they kukuma add Osimhen to the mix. That Nico Williams PR team ehn Guy's not even half better than Martinelli. He can't even give the G/A of Simon Moses. |
