Who can differente? Nigeria ford owner are in soup these days. Sub standard oil filters everywhere nowadays

Spend wisely,substandard or oem,it would still serve its purpose. To filter dirt and all sht....its a global issue,even ebay sells china copy. Tell your mechanic to open the oil sump and check the oil filter screen,that mesh look.

Are you sure it is not 2AZ -Fe . Because they are know to burn oil from 2006 to 2010 . Factory defects.. double check.....

Worse comes to worse u have to use 20w50 until you start see blue smoke from tail pipe . Better yet sell it

Bro,the fault is from factory. Your rings are stuck in the rings groove due to carbon,so they cant expand. Get yourself a berry mans b12 chemtool and seafoam. Pour the seafoam inside the oul crankcase,half,then pour the rest half inside gas tank. The chemtool would have to be soaked into your plug wells for good 2days. Its a pretty less tedious process but rhe end result is back to factory. Do not ring your engine. Once your engine is opened by naija mechanic. Say bye to that engine. Ive done it on my friends camry and my own camry. It took about 8 starts b4 the engine started and when it did,cloud of smoke for like 20mins. After the 2nd day,the oul burning reduced to about 5%,tho the lubricants used cost arm and leg but end result.satisfaction.

Alaye forget googe. Most of the filters sold sre not 100% fake,they are cloned to imitate the original. Go and buy original filter na,it cost almost 200 dollars. Go and buy it na,the one they are selling 20k,30k,na still 2k e be. Them just package am give u, since u be big fish. After that,dont forget to buy original oul that costs almost 300k. Pls after you have bought every,do not change the oil again,use it for 3years.since na original,direct from mobil.

You will see 0w20 oil sticker on the oil cap,then after 3months the engine would get starved of oil,then it would knock.sheybi u dey follow manual. No forget say the manual was made for America and Europe and not naija. Go pour am inside your engine na,then make naija hot weather come out from 12 pm,coupled with the hot asphalt,hot engine,hot gear,hot engine bay.if your oil no dry out within a week,make I bend.naija weather does not need light oil like those 0w20. The heat can dry up a wet singlet within an hour.

You need to have that engine replaced sir. But if you can't afford it now, you can have the engine overhauled by a qualified machinist. It can only get worse from here it nothing is done.

Also check the pcv valves. Have a mechanic check. It might need replacement. Most mechanic don't know how to check. Mostly over look when looking for oil leak ...

I can't do everything here bro . So take time Google and search for Pc valve of your car. So if it is dirty and have it replaced. Better to change and get brand new ..

If it is clogged or dirty it will be hard for engine to breath ..


And if all fails sell the car, replacement engine or use thicker oil. Thicker oil just helps prolong the inevitable ...

Previous owner abuse the car and reason the owner sold the car. Those v6 no dey spoil like the 4-cylinder..

Bro sorry, those 4-cylinder engine from 2006 to 2010 are factory defects engine. And there is nothing you can do to fix it.

Only option is to manage by using thicker oil. Depending on how u want do am. Either sell it or use thicker oil until you get money to buy another car..

Sludge can be remov3d only after about 7 engine flushes b4 the oil turns gold on oil drain.hoe many persons can afford 7 oil filters,7 engine flush cans and about 6 litres of oil to waste.mosy would run to ringing which is th3 end.mechanics wont torque the engine valve springs and locks to factory,thereby creating more problems such as over heating,chain or belt skipping,etc.

The Camry is a 4-cylinder well known factory defect. There is nothing that can save that engine fixing the piston or not,the car na my money pit regardless of rebuilt......


Since the 4 cylinder are factory defect the best is to either avoid them at all costs, and if you have to use them go for heavier oil like 10w30 or 10w40 but not 20w50.

We should encourage people to always use genuine engine oil follow owners manual at all times
