seunowa:
Do you know the number of participants in oil industry? Importations by marketers will continue until other refiners are able to come on board. Why is dangote shouting up and down about the marketers if it possible to collude with them? When other refiners come onboard, then, competition becomes stiffer. And competition is good for Nigerians
Doesn't matter if there are 1 million participants when they are all bundled under the banner of IPMAN. Dangote doesn't want to collude with them because he'd rather kill them off and become the super monopoly. That's what this battle is about.

As for your last sentence, we agree on that.

There is nothing like price war, it is an economic fiction designs by economists.for politicians to use and deceive, manipulate and gather followers who will support them during elections. The price of every you buy in Nigeria is controlled from CBN using monetary policies like money supply.
You might be correct. It might be a facade for media pull. But if you also believe the CBN policies part, then OYO o

Ok, I agree with you but the government of the day will not allow him to do so because the government is intentionally about revitalizing the oil and gas sector.

While not go into petrol business and bring down price than deceiving with competition while we continue to borrow crude collateralized dollar loans to import and subsidize substandard petrol from Europe
Are you a petroleum dealer, producer or user?

If you are a user, your concern should be cheap prices, and yes Nigerians deserves lower prices because we produce crude. Let the hot competition continue and prices lower.

Use your head, fight for your interest not interest of billionaire marketers and oil producers, they can bring down the price further, greed is not good.

Your are the one who need to use your head, price of a product only becomes cheaper when the currency appreciates which is not possible with people like you keep supporting Tinubu who promised currency devaluation during his electoral campaign.

You seem delusional, this post is about petroleum products, and competition drives prices. As a consumer I am happy with lower prices and am sure that is what all Nigerians want.

I will advise you to keep yourself busy, bringing up Tinubu on this thread is insanity.

Marketers will be looking to buy from Russia and Iran at very low price to stay competitive, Dangote is going for the Cheap Texas Crude. Dangote can afford to operate at a loss on PMS while selling fertilizers and other derivatives for profit. He can also increase cement price by N1000 to make up for the PMS losses. The marketers cannot win this war. Though Dangote has Naira for Crude, he can buy crude for less by buying Texas Crude. The battle continues...victoria acerta.

Dangote already built a refinery before tinubu came to power
Is it tinubu that made dangote build a refinery? Or would dangote no longer sell his products irrespective of wether tinubu won or not?
This is simply what happens when there is no monopoly, and that is an age long, common economic factor....
Can Dangote ever sell that the pre-Tinubu ratehuh
