⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING: Abrus precatorius seeds are extremely poisonous due to a toxin called abrin, which is even more deadly than ricin. Just one chewed seed can be fatal to a child or adult. Never use the seeds internally or raw.

🌿 Medicinal Properties of Abrus precatorius (Traditional Uses)

Despite its high toxicity (especially in the seeds), various parts of the plant — particularly the leaves and roots — have been used in traditional medicine with caution. Here’s a summary of medicinal uses by plant part:

🌱 1. Leaves

Used in very small, carefully prepared doses:
• Antipyretic – helps reduce fever
• Anti-inflammatory – used for swelling and arthritis
• Expectorant – used for coughs and bronchitis
• Topical use for skin diseases, wounds, or boils (often as poultice)

🌿 2. Roots
• Laxative – used in cases of constipation
• Diuretic – helps promote urine flow
• Used in Ayurveda for paralysis, nervous disorders, and chronic fevers
• Sometimes boiled and applied externally for joint pain or skin irritation

❗️ 3. Seeds – TOXIC!
• Highly toxic if swallowed or chewed
• Used externally in traditional treatments, such as:
• Crushed for treating skin infections, eczema
• Used with caution in homeopathy
• In rare, controlled, diluted forms in traditional medicine for:
• Contraception
• Abortifacient uses (EXTREMELY risky)

🧪 Scientific Compounds of Interest
• Abrin (toxin) – prevents protein synthesis in cells
• Flavonoids and Glycyrrhizin-like compounds – responsible for anti-inflammatory and anti-cough activity
• Tannins and saponins – astringent and expectorant properties
That's Phyllanthus amarus or niruri and not Abrus Precatotius

People are now beginning to recognize its usefulness, which is why it’s gaining attention. Ewe Eyinolobe, Phyllanthus niruri. It is effective for treating hepatitis (A, B, and C), especially Hepatitis B. Boil and drink it, or dry it and grind it into powder (the best way to preserve it long-term). Take it for three months, then go for a test, your Hepatitis B will become dormant, and you won’t be able to infect others. If you're careful enough (avoid alcohol and medicine, not even paracetamol), you’ll never have any liver-related problems. Even if you’re healthy, just boil and drink it, you’ll always feel good.

After eating this leave at 4 pm last week. I was headed home and I was about to jump a big gutter, and I saw a big black snake at the edge ( I would have landed on the snake and got bitten) I shouted and took some walk back from the snake.

I think the leave will protect you from danger. Before traveling or going any where you know might be dangerous, just eat it and you will be protected

Note: it only works for someone who is innocent oooo, not for guilty and evil people.

Someone gave me the same grass last month when I went to the village. He said they do siak it in wine before drinking the wine. He claimed that it does wonders.

Someone said it is good for malaria and typhoid.
