President Donald Trump announced a travel ban on nationals of 12 countries from entering the United States, bringing back the controversial "Muslim ban" policy from his first term.

The new proclamation, signed on Wednesday night, will affect citizens of Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

There will also be restrictions on visitors from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.

The ban takes effect on Monday, June 9.

Equitorial guinea , sierra leone, cuba and some other countries on that list are not muslim countries. So it's not about religion.
