And the starvation of women , children , shooting down Red cross planes, medicine san frontiers and barring the World Churches council from humanitarian aids is what
ojukwu did all these to garner aids from d West n it didn't work

One day when an unbiased person analyse how ojukwu used his hands to destroy u people during the needless war then u will understand better.

.the reason u are playing victim today is because Nigeria decided to mute about what happened during the war.
..

Hope u know many reasons y d south south always deny wanting to have anything with u lots?

Hope u know till today south south people still celebrate freedom Day from Biafra?

A lot of the people that led the war went on to live amazing lives afterwards. Even Ojukwu got a sponsored temporary stay abroad till tension died down.

It's the sheeps that were killed in the war I feel for.
It's always like that in wars. The families of Putin and Zelensky are not affected by the war going on over there...That's why every society must endeavour to elect good leaders.

If Gowon have obeyed the Aburi peace accord, there would have been no civil war.

So Ojukwu caused the pogrom against igbos? It was Ojukwu who ordered the killings of Igbos all over northern Nigeria after the military coup? Granted that Ojukwu (as a man he was) took advantage of the chaos to further his own ambition and ideology, but blaming him for what happened is mischievous.

Which Arthur Unegbe is mentioned here? 🧐

The same Unegbe, the only easterner that was killed during the Nigerian first coup of Jan 15, 1966 which was about 1.5years before the start of the civil war?
Re: Civil War Was For Unity, Not Hatred — Gowon by chukwutee:
i think we are asking the wrong questions here, ojukwu before the war was boasting he has the best soldiers in africa to take on nigeria, while gowon was still contemplating the war, he started selling the countrys oil to stockpile ammunitions, that is the height of treason and for some reasons, nigeria still pardon him even still allow him to contest for a post??

Gowon has lived better part of his in explanation! A regret that will follow to the grave. He has the opportunity to honor Aburi accord but he dishonored an agreement reached for the peace of the Nigerians. He has opportunity to stop the massacre of the Easterners in the north and in Lagos, which is what led to declaration of Biafra, he failed. He has the opportunity to provide the corpse of Aguiyi Ironsi his boss who trusted him with his life, he failed rather he provided empty coffin. I will not talk of war crime committed starvation, killing of civilians, killing of red cross members, caritas sponsored by Pope Paul VI, world council of churches etc.
Gowon promised rehabilitation, reconciliation and reconstruction he did that Lagos! He go explain tired!
Asaba massacre of more 500 primary school pupils! Worst is killing those who have surrendered!

Hope your state and Nigeria is enjoying the unity?
Re: Civil War Was For Unity, Not Hatred — Gowon by tishbite41(m): 4:40pm On Jun 07, 2025
Gowon, may the Good Lord Himself punish you!
If it was really for unity, why are you still explaining yourself over a half century later?
Don't you folks think before you talk?

IBB said a devastating flood was the act of God.
