raumdeuter:Politicians are suppose to be leaders of authority that direct society to their vision.....if their vision is corrupt, the society will..... All what you called bad and wickedness from Nigerians,Indians,Lebanese and Chinese do it here in Nigeria than they will in their country..... Nigeria politicians are not the reflection of our society, they are a different breed that the society started to copy and imitate.... |

Theflint1:This is not true. I lived in the PDP years and it was this bad. It was actually worse. You have been insulting APC leaders openly, many have been doing it and they haven't met the fate of NBA chairman Barnabas Igwe in Anambra, nor Dikibo in Rivers, they are not beheading people in Rivers state like under PDP, we dont have elections which we dont have the official results 18yrs later, where the winner of the elections admitted it was not an election, NURTW thugs are not impeaching sitting governors, tell the people in Odi and Zaki Biam it was better under PDP. |

Amigoss:The politicians didnt drop from heaven. 20yrs ago Sanwoolu was not a politician, Obaseki was not a politician, Makinde was not a politician, Demola Jackson was not a politician 80% of our current governors were not politicians in 1999 they were just like you and I. Regular people how did they become this? The outsiders will do more than they do in their country because Nigerians will set the tone for them to do worse. A foreigner will not flout your law if he didnt see the natives doing it first or encouraging him to. A togolese fresh in Nigeria wont immediately take one way until he sees the people doing it A Zimbabwean business man will likely take 20% profit until he sees Nigerians telling him that taking 100% is not bad They wont try to bypass our laws until we tell them that is normal Likewise you who have been taken one way once you get to Johannesburg and dont see others doing it, you sef will hide your one way skills Na house rat dey teach bush rat how to enter wardrobe |

raumdeuter:You were not the only person that lived under the PDP years. We've had several elections under APC where everybody knows that the results that were released as official were very different from what the reality was, but they were released as official results, does that make that any less corrupt than the one they didn't release results...in fact I'd even say those PDP guys had conscience enough to not release any result knowing it'd automatically indict them, but today we're having politicians release any sort of result and they'd scream you go to court if you don't like it...because they know that well too has been poisoned. Political violence has not stopped within the APC government, but beyond the political killings, Nigerian's feel more unsafe under APC compared to under the PDP. If you look at any of the macros and not cherrypick, you'd see that life was on average better in those years than it is today...even diehard cornvicts like Gloriousgbola have alluded to this. |

KingTom:People obviously feel more at ease and sleep better at night when they believe our politicians are somehow a different breed from the rest of the population and not reflective of the society that produces them. This is in spite of contrary evidence and verifiable facts. It is a subconscious coping mechanism. |

A Lebanese, Indian South African, Chinese man who dare not owe worker salary in his own country will enter Nigeria and within 6months don dey owe salary Ask anyone who worked for a one man business in Nigeria how they got treated by their Oga. How many months salary they were owed He don dey nack workers for promotion sometimes to get salary you have to nack Oga One day this Oga will join politics and we will say he is not one of us |

izzou:God bless you ooo In Canada here, Nigerians are tagged as some of if not the best immigrants someone can come across. It's this same Nigerian immigrants that people don't like in the UK. So what does that tell people? We see how people also talk on twitter about agbero being kind to them when they are lost or need some form of help. We still have people that talk about how evil agberos are. What does that tell people? Nigeria was alot better than it is today and na still the same politicians dey responsible then. I read someone mentioning how the blacks in SA have not advanced SA. Is he trying to imply that all blacks are inferior in intellectual capacity to whites because of how Africa is compared to white led nations? And this notion applies to everything, because you can either look at fulani's and call them herdmens who are killers or say this group doesn't describe all of them. You can look at the Igbos and call them IPOB or also agree the group doesn't describe them. You can look at the Yorubas and call all ronu or agree the group doesn't describe them. You call look at some doctors being disingenuous and also agree that doesn't describe all of them. In the end you choose what to propagate to justify your outlook👋 |

Theflint1:So if the results was not released how do you know who won? You are here saying not knowing the result of election is better than elections where the result was known. That election was so bad that they were ashamed to release the result when number of voters is more than registered voters An electoral commissioner Madam Adebayo in Ekiti was threatened on National TV and she fled into hiding Under APC how many people have been killed just for criticizing the govt like was the norm under OBJ or impeaching governors from Abuja |

raumdeuter:How many NIgerian's have been killed in their bedrooms by maruding terrorists since BAT took over? How many Nigerian's can today travel inter-state without feeling like they're making a coin toss of their life? Las las, people would pick the guarantee of relative safety, food and shelter over these things you're trying to make issues of. In the things that matter most, things have gone worse. Maybe you'd pick APC releasing fake results over not releasing results at all, but I say that's same of the same..if they're even doing all of their shenanigans and delivering dignity to people, maybe we'd just leave them be. |

raumdeuter: Because there are laws that will punish him if he does. If the Lebanese was born kind, why is he now owing Nigerians? Why are the Chinese and Indians owing us then, since they are genuinely kind people? There are still Nigerian employers that pay their staff.. The banks in Nigeria are almost owned by indigenes. How many dey owe staff? For everyone passing one way, hundreds are doing the right thing. For every yahoo boy, hundreds are working legitimately. This "Nigerians are wicked" is just what we have resorted to repeat to ourselves because there's no hope. Out there, it's not true |

Theflint1:How many times have terrorist been bombing all over Nigeria compared to PDP days. At a time almost an entire state was ceded to terrorists Never mind those in Odi and Zaki Biam who were killed by soldiers and federal forces. Those marauding terrorist have been doing it as far as PDP days, if we dont have Miss world killings , we will have Yelwa-Shendam or Ife-Modakeke |

raumdeuter:Okepobholo who is a regular person 20yrs ago as u are saying, now is a governor today flouting court orders, was the society doing it before now? If an Osas sees he is successful with it,they imitate him after all a politician who is supposed to enact laws and system in place to checkmate this, bypassed it and heaven didn't fall.... There is someone who is likely to pass one way in Benin and Ibadan than Lagos because of the strong laws for offenders in lagos,if there are such laws, politicians and lawmakers themselves abide by it not even natives will flout it,A situation where they themselves pass One way and people queue behind them doing same, owe civil servants months of salaries and pensions, why won't the society and foreigners do same.... |

The quality time eggs determine that of omelette. I once worked as a storekeeper on a project- more than once I was asked by some of the artisans to divert construction materials and sell I refused to comply. Around 2016/2017 a man who was buying food on credit prior was appointed as Treasurer in one of the LGs- he was later alleged to have moved millions into his mistress account, this was someone who was criticizing past leaders of mismanagement. We have good and bad Nigerians but the bad have overwhelmed the good |

Nigeria have extremely weak institution, when there is no law or when people don't respect law there can never be order. Doing thing the right way make people tag strict or foolish based on situation. To build a great institution needs a lot of politic which is quite hard for most of our politician due to how diverse we are as a country. |

One of my friends working in a factory in South Korea told me how importers from Nigeria would come there to request for production of low quality products to import to Nigeria for their maximum gains. These are the people that will get to leadership positions. He told me all his home appliances in Nigeria he shipped them from Korea to get value for his money. It's common to hear, 'Tokunbo is better than new' especially from mechanics in Nigeria. Crazy. |

akwesenana:It wasn't a firearm, it was a taser (stun gun) and he didn't point it at anybody. He is 100% correct. He brought it out for his own safety and I don't blame him. In this Nigeria where killers and kidnappers plenty, who will be comfortable with someone tailing them on the road for God knows how long and won't think of doing something for their safety. Back in those days when we see a car following us for a long time, my Dad will drive into Army camp, Police camp, University Campus or Governor street where he knows armed forces abound to shake them off. So it is a normal reaction for Adefarasin to bring out his taser if someone is tailing him |
