If you really want to know the truth

Your mom doesn't need a car of 2 million because maintenance and fueling the car will be a big challenge and may still come from you, which will be affecting you

Just add money to her business and make sure the business is successful

1. You can only buy a Nigerian used car for this price.
2. 1st invest 150-200k in a good scanner that can scan engine, gear, airbags, ABS, and brakes.
3. Only buy Nigerian used Toyota or a few brands of Honda.
4. Learn the basics how to inspect cars.
5. NEVER buy a used car with any oil or fluid leaks.
6. Go on Jiji and get an average price. Plan to buy 200k cheaper than you find on Jiji
7. Ensure you learn how to verify used car titles and documents so that you don’t buy a stolen vehicle or a car used in a crime.
8. With some luck, you will get a bargain.
9. Otherwise, just add 1-2m more and buy a foreign used Toyota Corolla, Honda City, VW Golf or Kia Rio (this get broken rear axle that is cheap to replace) that you have SCANNED before buying.

In this same Naija, u can get cars even at 1m. It's easy if you deal with direct user. Imagine getting a car with good body and interior but weak engine. Buy 600k engine and put and use the remaining do finishing touches, except of coz, if u don't like stress. Even cars that are direct Belgium sometimes need some touches. For 406, budget between 1.4m to 2.3m if u are in the north especially Kaduna, Jos or Abuja, depending on how good it is. For me, body is the main thing cos engine can always be replaced. Apart from physical contacts, try use Facebook marketplace and filter the prices. It's a great place to start. Don't use jiji, their prices are crazy.

Like someone said, you can get a car of two million, but it takes a lot of grace, search on jiji, Facebook market place, mechanic yards but make sure you go with a trusted mechanic, check that car very well. You are also like like to get a 90's to early 2000's car for that price.

I am also based in the States, and I was able to search for vehicles by changing location to Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria and I was able to send messages to all the sellers. I just had a friend connect with a mechanic to check it out. Once it was given a GO, I credited the seller. Drove the car last year, but now, I am doing a complete overhaul. Still made sense than buying to ship and hoping for the best at clearance

You click on Filter and change. Please be very careful...have someone on ground and do this transaction in public and ask for complete documents and get police report and bill of sale and all. You need all these documents to register the vehicle. Let sending money be the last thing you do...I am sure there will be scammers on the site
