Nice one but for Nigeria to work quicker, we have to kill off tribal identities. If you think that's too much to ask for then we are better off apart. We can't be apart within and still expect homogeneity in action.

Charity, they say, begins at home.

Why can't you mark it in Anambra if e sure for you? They are now afraid to go home having bastardized their land. #Chestbeater...

Make we respect ourselves before we start crying o.

Igbos have been fine in Abuja in the past 10 years without celebrating Igbo Day. We will still be fine without it.

We shouldn’t call attention to ourselves by ourselves.

Lol.. Kanu should be ashamed of himself. While he is killing his people for so called Biafra, Igbos are doing Igbo Day in other cities in Nigeria. They can't do it in any igbo land anyway cos Kanu and his people have destroyed it. The most unsafe places in Nigeria.

Abuja have been peaceful for a while now and I just hope they don't use the so call festival to cause mayhem at abuja. It is better to go and celebrate it in the East.

Wike himself must have given the permission for the event to be carried out.
And probably seating with legs and fingers crossed, with a wicked evil Joker smile, waiting to release the kraken.

I don't trust Wike half bit.

They should be very careful as they celebrate.

For Nigeria to work, we must realise that there is no "us" and no "Nigeria" and let each tribe go and build their own ethnic regions.

Killing off tribal identities will lead to civil war.

What's going on with this account - all of a sudden you started making reasonable, conciliatory comments (Although there is nothing inherently wrong with holding an Igbo day in Abuja).

Were you hacked? Did you welcome a new child into the world?
I’ve always been reasonable. My positions then just didn’t suit your narratives.

Just like most of my positions in future will still bring us at variance.

But objectivity will always be my watchword.

How can you hold preconceived notions of future disagreements if you're objective?

Because I know you.

I know the side you support.

And I know the views you uphold.

It’s like a Chelsea fan expressing surprise that a Manchester United fan said they would still clash in future. It’s a given they would.

Just like it’s a given we would.

If anything, in 2027, you are going to support Tinubu and I’m going to support Peter Obi. Isn’t that an established point of variance already?

cheesy

I never supported Tinubu prior to the election. I never supported any of the three major candidates because I felt they were more or less on an equal footing in different ways but also I neither genuinely felt any of them reflected my views on governance. I voted for Sowore, not because I even believe in him, but because I could not in good conscience cast my vote for anyone I don't sincerely believe in but I still felt compelled to vote. Sowore was the least tainted candidate.

If any of those top three or even top 4 had won, I would have defended them the same way I do Tinubu, against any criticism that I feel is not made in good faith.

You are leaning towards objectivity but you're not yet there sir.

To say all 3 are the same, all things considered, just betrays you as a closet Tinubu supporter.

It’s like saying you can’t differentiate the characters of Davido, Wizkid and Burnaboy.

Head to toe, Obi is not in anyway comparable to Tinubu and even Atiku.

So, stop that.

Good to know... shouldn't the over 250 tribes have their own day too ?
That would be an abomination because we are regarded as second class citizens according to the unwritten laws of Nigeria. As a second class citizen, one can't even nurse the ambition of becoming president because it will be taken as a big joke because that position is reserved exclusively for the first class tribes (Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba) only. This is one sad situation nobody is talking about.

Why would I need to be a closet Tinubu supporter? I obviously don't rate you or other Tinubu haters so why would I hide? Tinubu is a political candidate like any other and it's madness to emotionally blackmail people into being fearful of supporting him. And that is exactly why I support him now - at least on social media. Because I hate madness with a passion! cheesy

Besides, maybe you didn't understand what I said. I never said they are exactly the same. I said they are on equal footing, which means that to me, each one has good and bad points but overall their impact on governance will be roughly the same.

Using your example, the three artists are obviously different in style and character but on the same level of quality.

All of this is by the way, because the main point is that you are definitely no objective which you betray (as if it's not already obvious) by taking a position of false moral superiority.
