However if it has been up to 5 weeks since you did biometrics and it does not say passport ready on the tracker then just go to the passport office and say you are for passport collection

I just applied for the Nigerian passport DIY in Owerri immigration service, it was very fast and seamless for the biometric and capturing. Did my capturing on 3rd July.

Anyone who’s seeing this can inform the estimated time for the passport to be produced.

If you're lucky you should receive an approval email within days. Should you not receive one a day or two to your enrollment day, you can go to the SERVICOM office for assistance. SERVICOM is a government office that handles complaints about poor service, unreasonable delays, mistakes, etc.

Go to www.photogov.net and upload your passport photograph there. It will adjust your passport photograph...

Shortly after you capture or enrol you will begin to notice changes.

I asked the officer who attended to me if they worked the previous day, and he said no.

I did my biometric 2nd of May and it was issued 15th May. That about 2 weeks only.

Hope this is true! But why those immigration officers at the capture office (Alausa) keep writing almost 2months interval for collection date on a piece of paper.

its 100% true. My sister did hers at alimosho and the passport was ready under 2 weeks too

I visited the website "https://passport.immigration.gov.ng", but couldn't verify my current passport details. I keep getting the message "The passport details provided by you are not found in the system. Please correct your entry and try again" .

Please what could be wrong? I have checked my details and everything is correct (DOB. passport number).

Check what you typed, eg dud the put the letter O instead of the number 0

It might also be case sensituve.

I don't even know how this works, it's my first time and it's also DIY.
Because I thought after registration online and payment, I choose a date and proceed for capturing nd biometrics. Pls I will appreciate a breakdown of the processes. God bless you

A quick update on my condition... So I got to alausa passport office. Went straight to servicom desk, met a woman and complained that since I registered, I was still awaiting approval. So she took my file to an office, after Abt 30mins, I was called, nd I saw vetted on my file. I was asked to go enrollment...
The woman I met there was looking at my file as if something was missing.
She den asked if I registered myself, told her yes... She said she'll call me soon....
I dey wait like dis...

I have checked several times. It confirmed my NIN and details on the first page and when I moved to the next page to confirm current passport, it didn’t go through. I have checked my passport number and put in the details exactly the way it is.

You should have chosen a date in mid July or first week in August. This is to give you ample time to receive the approval mail. It is always advisable to let your date of appointment be a few weeks from the date of registration. You can still do the biometric(s) today if the SERVICOM office sorts out your pending approval in good time.

So I was able to get my stuff sorted out.. I enrolled, did my biometrics nd capturing today..
After I got my confirmation slip, I checked my application tracker and saw production stage... I was happy... I didn't give shishi to anyone shaa.. except d officer dat checked if my details were accurate..
I gave her 1k for card...

So fast forward to the this night, I checked back the tracker and saw it has gone back to application received but initially it was in production "passport awaiting production"..
Shud I be worried? Has anybody faced such

She can be mean with her questions when vetting your credentials and at the end a funny lady.

Yes, did mine at Alausa on 3rd this month,will check back after the normal 6weeks ,So let say mid July.But if by chance i go through that route( Ikeja) i will surely go try my luck if its out.
The tracker still shows PRODUCTION IN PROGRESS, can't be reliable judging from other people's experience here,So one can't ascertain in real time when it's out.
