For the past couple of days there’s been a debate on twitter about men who change boxers on a daily and those who don’t .

I was surprised that there are indeed men who are sane and proud they wear boxer shorts beyond one day . I mean how do they do it ?

Don’t they get itchy down there wearing the same boxer shorts for more than 24 hours ? Sometimes even within 24 hours sef one becomes uncomfortable with the boxers and have to change to another one .

I was surprised to see people saying those who change boxers daily are gayyy. Even Oyemykke was trying to be philosophical about not changing boxers daily ; he was saying it’s possible for one to forget to change boxers especially if u don’t go anywhere outside the house . 🤮

I also learnt Oyinbo’s don’t bathe daily , maybe because their weather is not as harsh as we have in Africa where one sweats regularly

I even asked if it's because they were in the swimming pool for 3 or 4 days of that time and she said they didn't shower after swimming which means carrying chlorine on their body straight from swimming pool. Another of my daughter's friend came for playdate and said she needs to return before 7pm because today (Sunday) is her shower day while mummy's shower day is Wednesday and Daddy's is Thursday. One of our neighbour (woman) also said she showers once a week, even Prince Harry once confessed to showering only once a week.

And these people go dey kolobi, give brains etc ontop smelly boxers and private parts

TBH them no dey smell, maybe them dey wash armpit and use roll on daily but when it comes to kolobi, they cannot be clean down there

The Asians in Yakutia, Russia bathe once or twice a week.
Thais in tropical Asia take multiple baths a day or at least once.

this is mostly the case for me, anytime I stay inside under AC, I can use my boxers for 2 days maximum.. when I go out on a short distance journey or when I notice I've sweat, I then change boxers..

During the January heat period,I can change my boxer 4 times in a day..

It's part of grooming...there are no health benefits to going out in ironed clothes, combing your hair, or smelling nice, but we do them eitherway. Anything less than bathing twice a day, especially if you go out borders on poor hygiene.

I have a cousin who had an accident involving a Keke rider. The Keke rider was clearly at fault, but because my cousin was driving one of those luxury Toyotas now worth ₦15 million in today’s market, a crowd quickly gathered and started threatening him. Out of concern for the Keke rider—who, by the way, had no visible injuries—my cousin offered to take him to the hospital. That’s when the real wahala started.

They began demanding that he buy a brand-new Keke. Luckily, the accident happened right in front of a filling station between Warri and Eku, several years ago. The owner of the station, who happened to be a local and spoke the language, quickly intervened—just in time too, because the Mopol stationed at the filling station had already cocked his gun in support of the Keke man and was threatening my cousin.

The station owner ordered the Mopol to step back and addressed the crowd. He told them that my cousin had already shown more than enough goodwill by agreeing to take the Keke man to the hospital, and that anything beyond that wasn’t his responsibility. He also instructed another Mopol to escort my cousin to the hospital, stay until payment was made for the man’s checkup, then follow him to Eku and return. He firmly warned both the Keke man and the Mopol that if anything happened to my cousin, they would be held accountable.

That’s how my cousin got out of the situation unharmed—physically, at least. Mentally and financially? Completely drained.
