So we still have small people with integrity. Some people don’t understand the dangers of what is brewing. Na so Nazi party take start, all the fanatics were supporting and they eventually took over and became a one party state. It’s not about the wealth you stand to benefit from being in power now but when it will blow up to something else your grandchildren will ask you what were you doing when this was happening and you will be ashamed to say you supported it. |

ogododo:While I'm against APC taking in too many politicians from other political parties that are currently in disarray and factionalized (due to a lack of internal democracy and greed within those parties), I absolutely believe that they should work on rebuilding their so-called parties or implode instead of cross-carpeting. In a worse-case scenario, APC should ONLY take the BEST of those politicians who want to leave their old parties and integrate them seamlessly with existing APC members in each state. On the other hand, there's absolutely NOTHING honorable in what that former SSA has done by resigning. What does he mean by "turning Nigeria into a one-party state?" That's one of the MOST ridiculous statements I've ever heard in the current Nigerian political cycle. This former SSA guy just wanted to leave in order to do something else with his life and had to give a very lame or silly excuse as his reason for leaving. There's NOTHING to applaud here that's honorable in what he did as WRONGLY alluded to by some of the highly insidious and impressionable NL posters (who notoriously make knee-jerk reactions) here from Page 1. During the "raging bull in a China shop" OBJ Presidency and PDP years, there were cross-carpetings but that didn't totally turn Nigeria into a one-party country because you still had Action Congress, Alliance for Democracy, APGA, etc, how much more right now when you have a current President (who is even more liberal and forgiving of indiscretions than former President Obasanjo who ALSO refered to his own political party the PDP as "a NEST of killers" because of the political assassinations of prominent PDP and non-PDP politicians in some states in Nigeria that were planned from within the PDP party by renegade politicians). |

Imagine building such a one-party structure only for Tinubu’s enemy, like Peter Obi, to arrive and use the same structure to deal with all Nigerians in 20 years time. Sounds familiar? Yes, this whole rigging structure was built by Obasanjo and Pdp 20 years ago. But the structure has now fallen into the hands of Tinubu and Apc. So any one-party structure they are building will one day be used against them by their enemies so they should build carefully lol. But instead of dying in regret like Obasanjo, why not have a system that he can be happy with when he’s 100 years old and his party is no more in power? Lack of foresight. |

Principled people still exist in Nigeria. The other day some commissioners in Akwa-Ibom state who were forced to join APC because their principal (governor) defected to the party resigned biased on principles. |

I know what you mean, but here is the whole truth; stop dreaming, most of these guys resigning publicly from this administration are purely guys that this same very administration is planting as moles "bugged into the various coalition groups" for information on the opposition's plans in their subgroups. Just believe them with their flimsy excuses at your detriment. You're calling men of subterfuge "men of conscience", and they're just laughing while still collecting their pays.
